I dont see why this wouldnt see play, I know pure paladin is pretty tight slot wise, but this is a low investment for a big payoff for games where you are slipping behind due to bad buff draws or you just need to thread the needle on board.
Thats juicy .. and can be played earlier than shirvallah the tiger!
More balanced than Shirvallah though. You won't get it for free, and you have to sacrifice some deck consistency. The real power of Shirvallah was that it could be free, and you could easily get 3 more with that demon legendary or even with the banker.
I don't get it, Zilliax was not only neutral, but also had a tribe. Why are all these effects bound on a condition? Shouldn't at least the stats be a bit higher?
Don't get me wrong, it's a very strong card and a day 1 golden craft for me. Still I got some doubts on the effect. If the effect is powerful enough to be allowed on a neutral tribal legendary, with an extra keyword (magnetic), why is the effect this time on a condition?
Because "Deal 7 damage, gain 7 life, have a big taunt" is better than "Deal 3 damage, gain 3 life, have a small taunt"
Zilliax was one of the most op cards in the game, along with Magnetize as the most op mechanic. It was almost like Charge with the condition of having a minion on board. Zilliax alone was strong, but with Magnetize was OP. Magnetize shouldn't let you hit face the turn you magnetize something.
Class cards should be better than their neutral counterparts. This card has an increased cost from Zilliax, and 4/5 of it's effects. Plus no tribe. So are the effects so powerful on an 8 mana that they need a condition?
Compare this to Lightforged Zealot. He is an overcosted 4/2 minion without the condition, but the condition is very powerful since it's a truesilver on a stick. This one brings all the effects that an already existing and super versatile NEUTRAL legendary on a condition. Shouldn't the stats be a bit better?
And I disagree with GreatGopher1, because Zilliax didn't have a condition and it was available to EVERYONE. This is only to paladins, and only if they restrict themselves to only class cards. The effect should've been better, or at least the stats.
It is still a strong card.
And seriously why do you guys downvote? At least I support my opinion unlike others who just complain without reason.
The problem is that Zilliax was not ok. Zilliax was OP af. You can't compare this card to an OP card. I think this card is indeed fair and balanced. Zilliax was far from being balanced and fair. Just look at it, every deck in wild has Zilliax. It's THAT good.
Maybe I missed something but what does Yrel have to do with the Darkmoon Faire?
You didn't miss anything. After WoD she had 1 appearance in wow (maghar orcs unlocking)
The Darkmoon Faire doesn't exactly have much lore going for it, so while it's a neat idea, they need stuff to fill it up, especially class wise.
overrated
As a standalone card this is a very good card. But I don't think it's enough to make Pure Pally better than the Libroom version. Libroom Pally is just better in almost every department. I don't think this card is enough to change that.
shirvallah! shirvallah!
pure paladin already works. It's wonky, but it works. This card will help the archetype further. I like it
I Love this card!! I want it golden! Whit Libram of Wisdom after Lady Liadrin can be +15/16 life points.
But for make Tier 1 the Pure Pala we need a strong card draw if there are no generic card in the deck.
how to simply describe this card big pure zilliax
lol your right, it’s just zilliax but worse imho zilliax for 5 mana was better
7heal>3heal
Yeah but against aggro you can't always wait until turn 8 to heal 7.
