Battlegrounds - Blizzard Patch Teaser?
One of the Devs on the Hearthstone team, Conor Kou, made a very mysterious and interesting tweet tonight. When twitter user BloederFuchs asked him "So, any update on that content patch that was "right around the corner" two weeks ago?", Kou replied with the following tweet:
well at least you don't see bethesda or those other companies spamming your face with "this is cooming soon" like they do mine
I can't help but laugh at this.
We all assume dragon tribe right? Minions that buff dragons existed since Amalgam was broken. Why? Perfect logic to add dragon tribe.
I can't help but laugh, because watch blizzard pull a fast one and just be like 'hey guys, check out the new bg hero Deathwing!'
Huh? What dragon tribe? We put a lot of effort into this hero! Do yOu GUys NoT LiKE DeAThwINg?
I hope this is released soon!
Winter is coming!
Let’s hope they finally decide to share changes when i start the game. Really annoying to start a game just to see they decided to nerf/change something like with the last demon nerf.
something that should've been absolutely mandatory (when the mode was new by the way) is worth an official blizzard notice
*mindblown*
I hope then finally move some minions to higher tavern tiers.
Dragons are coming!!!!
Just show me the dragons
It's good to know that devs respond to their tweets. Even if some of them may seem lacking. I think we all realize that they are not allowed to announce anything on their own, has to be a company decision and everything. One day may turn up in a big attention (and money) difference.
Have you ever developed a game? It takes time. Every Blizzard game in history has been announced 1 year+ in advance. Similar to almost EVERY AAA title ever.
We won't see Diablo IV for a while. We also won't see the next Elder Scrolls for a long time, or the next Metroid Prime, or Beyond Good and Evil. All we had for about 3 years of Cyberpunk and Death Stranding were cryptic trailers.
It isn't something devs do to torment insufferable brats. Its literally the only way to inform them of what's in production.
And I dont know why you're bitching and whining about Hearthstone and WoW. They have the strictest cycles of any Blizzard game. Hearthstone sees a fixed content drop every 3 months or sooner. WoW sees a new expansion every 2-3 years, with the releases ALWAYS August - October.
Have you ever developed a game?
You're little to harsh on this guy, he was blaming the company not the developers.
People still think that Diablo IV will come out in the near, cute. Diablo was never intended to have a part 4 yet. The whole 2 blizzcons ago about teasering for diablo was just about diablo immortal. Blizzard wasn't even concepting diablo 4 yet. It was just about blizzard being so far out of touch with their community that they thought everyone would wet themself to get a mobile game for diablo. Because: MOBILE MOBILE MOBILE. And the easy china money.
Even the last diablo 4 on blizzcon was so extremely rough: i think they were so extremely desperate to clean their name from the diablo immortal desaster and the mobile-bs that they just created something for blizzcon, not something we will play in the end: it just remembered me of an diablo 3 with some small new things added to make it look new. But a finished product wasn't this by far. They scrapped the whole HOTS-Team just to make this demo ready for blizzcon just to have at least something. Because if they didn't, the fans would have rioted. But this game was never intended to be ready until long time in the future.
Simply because don't forget: do you guys not have phones?
And as said above: creating a game takes years. Diablo wasn't probably only a concept art if even that. Blizzard only had the mobile-money in their brain. And exactly because of the shite they did, they can't release diablo immortal: because they know that it was just a shitty game, grabbing the diablo merchandize money as every other mobile game out there. But then they got this extreme backlash, and if they would put out a crappy game, they would probably never recover from it.
So yes, diablo immortal might be a game that is finished in the eye of netease, but if they released it in this state, the game would not only get a huge backlash, it would also always be tainted of the blizzcon years ago. So yes, it will be released not far away, but i think it might be still somehow developed AND might also only come out when there is even slightly a chance that diablo getting released. I think this is the only way they can make this game even slightly successful, by releasing it with the release-date of diablo 4, so people can pre-order it, and then play the game until the real things comes out on their phone. Phone games does not have such a long lifespan anyway.
How about you people stop pointing the finger at Blizzard?
They are only able to do what Transactivision tells them to do.
Blizzard used to be arguably the best gaming company for over a decade, until they were controlled by Activision. Everything plummeted to complete garbage and probably half the blizzard staff of quality quit because Activision cut bonuses.
Blizzard used to operate on bonuses for doing good work on developing a game, and provided less than average wage to balance it out. They got paid well. Activision removed the bonuses and paid the Blizzard staff the same (less than the market avg). Even the CEO of Blizz used his severance to pay employees after the tyrant took over.
Now they just spit out garbage titles in hopes of making enough micro-transactions to pay for the abomination of a game. Once Blizzard is low enough profits, we will see the true Activision do it's dirty work.
Blizzard died years ago, Blame Activision.
oh yeah, i'm well aware that they were bought out a couple (?) of years ago, but you see, it doesn't matter. it's Blactivision now and it's a one whole. After all, someone from Blizzard, at one point, made the decision to sell to Activision, and i guess i consider that the turning point.
even with all that said, it still doesn't matter because now the content is either shit or it's going to be shit soon (pun intended) enough.
you can agree or disagree, but that's a sad fact now. you can either accept it and cope with it or still cling on to the hope that things might get better. even if they do one day, i'll be happy to come back. peace
Deathwing Confirmed
Really excited to see a new tribe added to battlegrounds. It gets boring to see the same ones so often.
I really want to hear about the new year announcement.
I'm even rerolling the BG quest.
>It's reeeeeeeallly just around the corner ;)
hahaha jesus christ
does that just mean two more weeks?
remember Blizzcon WC3 Reforged announcement? took them over a year after they announced it to actually release it, and when they did, it became the lowest user rated game on Metacritic *ever* (currently it's 0.5/10 based on 29 255 ratings lol)
remember that "don't you have phones?" announcement on that same Blizzcon? it's still not released lol
remember Tournament mode?
remember Shadowlands announcement from last Blizzcon?
>*World of Warcraft®: Shadowlands expansion available on or before December 31, 2020
oh yeah, there's also Diablo IV coming along... once
sure, I love Blizzard games, but boy do I hate Blizzard. I only wish Soon™ was the only bad thing about the company, maybe I'd still enjoy playing this lovely game.
that's about my rant, see you guys in mtg arena
