Battlegrounds - Possible Demon Tribe Changes Coming
Blizzard just posted a one liner about changes being in the pipeline to adress concerns people are having about the strength of Demons in Battlegrounds.
Reddit user IAmBryanCranston asked "Are there any plans to look over Demons in Battlegrounds? Currently they feel a bit too strong. Cheers"
Community Manager Chris Attalus answered the question with the following:

Explain to me how the "Dragon in hand" mechanics of the tribe would translate to Battlegrounds.

Name 5 dragons whose gameplay mechanics would work well in BGs. I saw my last comment got downvoted, but if you think dragons are a viable tribe you either don't understand BGs or don't understand card mechanics.
Primordial explorer, chronobreaker, scalelord, emerald explorer, emeriss, twilight welp, midnight drake, twilight drake, twilight guardian, cobalt scalebane, coldarra drake, scaled nightmare, chillmaw, zzeraku the warped, Onyxxia, sleepy dragon, Deathwing dragonlord.
Many of this would have more of a preparatory (battlecry and the like) rather than a in play value.
Other card to sinnergize with them that are not necessarilly dragons:
Dragon egg(other eggs could work without dragons), Netherspite hystorian, nightbane templar, chromatic egg, cathedral gargoyle, dragon breader, wyrmrest agent, netherspite technician, twilight accolite, scaleworm, wing commander, war master voone, dragon speaker, skyfin, wyrmguard.
Balancing them is certainly not easy and adding another tribe might dilute the pool of minions so it could be better to rotate what tribe are playable rather than simply add more. But dragons could add an extra dimension to the mode making them more about setups of sort rather than simply buy sell buff style. There is also the option of adding specific battleground Dragons and/or dragon related cards.

Personally, I'd rather see buff to other tribes rather than nerfs to demons.
At this point I see no reason not to reverse the nerfs on Mama Bear or Lightfang.
Also, Murlocs need some love. Either you get extremely lucky to make the Brann Bronzebeard + Gentle Megasaur combo and win the game, or almost always die before you get there. Perpaps add another Murloc unit at tier 3? Once change I would make though is that if you get Divine Shield off Gentle Megasaur then the odds of getting Poisonous are reduced, and vice versa. It's just too powerful a combination, and one single drop of Gentle Megasaur shouldn't be enough to outright win you the game.
I agree, we need two nerfs to demons and mechs. Do not buff murlocs, there already is too many people going for murlocs and if they highroll, they often end up #1 anyway! I also hope the OP heroes get a nerf as well.
Replace Floating Watcher with Wrathguard. That'll do the trick.
Give Soul Juggler or Floating Watcher the Junkbot treatment and I think things will be better
I don't think demons are too too strong, not like demons on the previous patch or mechs when the mech girl was +1/+1, they are for sure huge piles of stats but way too reliant on floating watcher to get to the super late game, if you don't get an early watcher you just have a nice top 4 build at best. I think the real problem is soul juggler, that minion is way too strong in the early game and late game can save your ass really hard.

Finally they are going to do something for this. I and many people were sick of Demongrounds.
Also, if they can nerf Tirion a bit, it's almost impossible to not make top 4 with him.

4 seems rather high but the minion is damn good though
I kinda hope they go the opposite direction.... make watcher a 2 star unit, but make it a 2/2 that grows by 1/1. Making it a 2 star unit would let demo comps get it more consistantly, and it would still be a mandatory unit to make the comp work. But halving it's stats would make it far more fair.
Yes I understand your thoughts, but watcher is corresponding to the actual card in constructed, so it is not easy to be changed as that way, the only two options are changing to 4 star unit or take watcher away.
