Also which minion is not a powercreep in this expansion
I thought we were going to get the full league of explorers to mirror the five Galakronds... but with 4 legendaries and 1 of them being neutral, that's impossible. Or have I misunderstood something?
i guess blizzard still does not unnderstand "Make hero cards to all, or do not make them"
The lackey Legendary looks pretty good. Especially in a future Lackey Warlock... But will it be good in practice remains to be seen. The druid taunt for me is a bit slow and if it was with a dragon tag it would have been better. The other two are meh... Overall average cards.
paladin card is maybe playable. the rest is doodoo in constructed.
basically 3 arena cards and a bad legendary
I think there will be raafam hero card and last legendary will be neutral minion from good side
4 new legendaries that awesome , the other adventurers had 5 but this doesn't take up a whole expansion. Stonks
How is nobody discussing about how they stole the starting screen from Fallout ?
Also winged guardian is insane.
Fallout didn't invent the "Please Stand By" screen.
New legendary looks sick. Lackey Handlock is already a thing, so with this new card you can be like a new Old Quest Rogue.
Druid new card is pretty good, druid needs a defensive option, Looks like Evasive Drak (7 mana 7/7 cant be targered) but without Dragon Sinergym, HOWEVER this card is a new option for the 4 mana card that buy a beast and x2 the health, but MUCH better, and can also be summoned via the 3 mana card that summon a dead beast (with vargoth IT'S AMAZING).
The priest card is good, but IDK if it's relevant in this meta, because many decks in meta don't care if you remove one single minion.
The paladin card is not bad, but definitely isnt enough for a paladin recover on meta.
so i guess druid and/or hunter wont get a hero card.
hunter has a hero card
and druid has a skin
So not every explorer gets a hero card? Boring...
If Paladins got Finley as a Hero, you think he'd be killable with Hungry Crab like how you can Sac Pac Jaraxxus?
Jaraxxus is a minion and it has a tribe, but hero cards don't have tribes.
It was more of a joke than a genuine question. That would be aweful, especially with Zephrys existing.
Lackey Legendary can certainly create some big plays lategame.
The rest would be solid-enough Arena cards that don't seem particularly exciting in Constructed play.
Like right now? Dragon embiggen druid needs just a little extra help to get to tier1/2 right now and this might just make it
Air Raid Likely goes into Pure Paladin. Winged Guardian easily makes it into dragon/embiggen druid.
I believe your claims on Winged Guardian are likely off. Try comparing Winged Guardian to Soggoth the Slitherer and Evasive Drakonid. I believe it's quite superior and dangerous.
Why would you play Winged Guardian in Embiggen Druid? It's mediocre in stats, and that deck has no synergy with beasts. I guess it depends on what the other adventure cards are, but so far it's definitely not worth running over some of the other options.
As for the comparison with Soggoth the Slitherer and Evasive Drakonid - just because a card compares favorably with two cards that effectively saw zero play that doesn't make it a good card. Ice Rager is a direct upgrade to Magma Rager but that still doesn't make the card good. Soggoth was never played in any deck competitively, and Evasive Drakonid doesn't even see play in Dragon Decks right now. The best druid deck that includes it has a 49,2% winrate, and that's despite taking advantage of the dragon synergy it offers.
Yes, Winged Guardian is an alright standalone card, but not nearly enough to warrant including without some synergy with the other cards in the deck to take advantage of. If the adventure has some beast synergy cards this could be good, but it's definitely not worth playing in any of the current decks IMO.
I disagree about Winged Guardian being bad. I think it is pretty good adition to discovery pool of Emerald Explorer.
