Blizzard just released a hotfix for a new card from the Saviors of Uldum expansion - Zephrys the Great!
Quote fromWe’ve recently applied a hotfix in all regions to implement the following bug fixes and adjustments:
- Fixed a bug where Zephrys the Great sometimes didn’t handle enemy Divine Shields properly.
- Fixed a bug where Zephrys the Great sometimes didn’t handle Poisonous properly.
- Fixed a bug where Zephrys the Great didn’t consider that buffing a 0-Attack minion would let it attack that turn.
- Taught Zephrys the Great how Doomsayers work.
- As a rule, we don’t plan to teach Zephrys the Great about individual card mechanics and interactions. However, we’ve made a one-time exception in this case since having less-than-perfect offerings from Zephrys the Great when trying to find an answer to a Doomsayer could cause you to lose your board or end up with no good plays for the turn.
excuse me who is this kripp guy ? is he a world champion ? does he play in tournaments?
im a bit confused here, are we talking about the arena guy ?
Kripp agrees btw. He said specifically to play it the way you're saying to play it and the win rate is much better
Sorry, when you say "Kripp", do you mean the guy who plays standard for a month, only plays meme decks, then plays arena until the next expac comes out? The guy who's just terrible at predicting what cards will and won't be good?
Zephyrs doesn’t always give you Ooze on 4 when your opponent has a weapon. Most of the time he gives you Harrison for the turn after which is kind of lame. Especially when they’re about to attack with the last charge.
Yeah I'm not sure what it requires for you to get weapon removal. I was facing Paladin with 5/2 Ashbringer and it still didn't offer me Harrsion or Ooze (I had mana to play either).
Had my 2nd interaction with him today while playing my Elemental Shaman v Big Paladin.
He got added to my hand from add a random elemental to your hand, played him turn 10 and I got Tirion Fordring which saved me and I got the win (undeservedly I will add)
Only ever played against 1 and it wasn't enough to save my opponent from losing next turn since I had King Krush in hand and they were more worried about getting rid of my buffed Ziliax on board.
Edit. Forgot I have lost to him once before, opponent pulled that hunter weapon with 7 attack to finish me off when I would of killed him next turn.
Very good card I will craft him most likely once the meta has settled
I've noticed exactly 5 types of people here
1: Those who love the card
2: Those who hate that it doesn't do what they want it to
3: Those who don't know that it's Basic/Classic
4: Those who reply "You're wrong and here's why"
5: Me, the one who half the time says "Fuck it, your a 10 mana Twisting Nether this game"
*laughs in passing on 2 with 2 unused mana with Druid Quest*
The benefit of getting further ahead in quest is more important than NOT getting ahead in quest and using my Power of the Wild to make a 3/2. Passing and doing nothing is correct.
Hey, numbnuts, I didn't say passing sometimes wasn't correct. I specifically specified against aggro. And once again. Good luck doing nothing turn 1 and 2 against a strong 1 and 2 drop. Enjoy your turn 5 loss. Me, I'll play the 3/2 on 2. And have a chance. And again, my point was, STOP OFFERING WILD GROWTH AT 3 MANA AS THE BEST OPTION OF 3 BASIC/CLASSIC CARDS. It's not a good card. At all. Is my point really so hard to understand? How stupid are you all? God damn...
I just watched AsmodaiTV play it on turn 2 vs Hunter - it gave him a Wild Growth cause his hand was 5+ mana cost. He ended up winning the game.
It always gives you wild growth going into turn 3 unless they have minions. It doesn't know what's in your hand.
So you are ok if quest shaman on turn 2 plays an evil totem and you have wrath in hand to just pass the turn? God damn I hope all my opponents were this determined that completing the quest is more important than tempo.
Yeah, even against aggro. You sound like me when I was stuck at Rank 15. It happens all the time against Quest Druid, either have your Starfall/Oasis on 5 or 6, or you lose. If you're smart with resources, you will stabilize... but it doesn't sound like you know much about that.
youll probably get it if you have no mana left on the turn though. They meant interesting as in not vanilla minions like Chillwind Yeti
if you're losing to aggro, play him when their board's full or when they have a big minion or weapon up. That's what the card is for ya dingus. He will give you the PERFECT CARD from classic or basic. PERFECT as in perfect for the turn you play him, not on turn 2 when the AI doesn't know what the future board state of the game will be
Why doesn't Zephrys ever offer Dr. Boom Mad Genius? I feel like that would be the perfect card in a lot of situations.
well, it would if it were a classic or basic card
lol imagine if it gave you all cards to choose from. It would always give you dr boom mad genius though btw, it's the highest winrate card in the game right now. It'd be a total clown fiesta if literally every class just run singletons and zephyrs and would turn into dr boom every game lol
*laughting in firelord distance*
*also TOO SOON echoes in the distance as well*
That would be a programming nightmare
