For the Dalaran Defenders, so far we have two (10) cost 4/12 Legendary Dragons.
Mage: Kalecgos (Blue Dragonflight)
Paladin: Nozari (Bronze Dragonflight)
I would absolutely love it if Hunter and Druid also got (10) cost 4/12 dragons from the Green and Red Dragonflights.
Edit: Never mind
Hunter already got 2 Legendarys
Shit. Well, still would’ve been cool.
Hunter already have Emeriss - so he also have legendary 10 mana dragon ;
Oh yeah, and she’s affiliated with the Green Dragonflight. Still, we need another red one at some point.
Korialstrasz! He was a red dragonflight and he called other dragons to fight against Malygos. Maybe some neutral legendary with minus-spell damage, some kind of anti-combo tech?
@edit I had lagg of brain and forgot that we had something like that (yeah naxx is out!. Easier said - some reprint of Loatheb
I like it , but why would you want to play this ? If you play against aggro is way to slow.
If you play vs control, its about value not health. If you play vs combo decks , you just die no matter what health you have.
I
depends what type of aggro. if it's board-based like zoo then yes it's usually too slow. but if the primary aggro deck is a burn deck then this is very good
Burn-decks are also aggro decks. Tempo-mage is a burn deck and it kills you usually way before turn 10
well you cannot say for sure that the aggro meta now will be as fast as next expension, right now the best aggro cardsd we have gotten is lackey, and they are pretty much midrange, i feel like this dragon is greta aginst midragne and great in wild
Most aggro-deck so far threatened to kill you around turn 5... so i dont think this will change. I think its just to slow and doesn't offers much protection against aggressive decks. The will just attack your face after you played it and you are half HP again... Anyway i hope it will work out. I dream of dragon-heal-paladin since blackrock:D
Ehh maybe
I feel a litle disappointed with this, i know, has a good combination with Thekal and Zandalari Templar, but just that, I expected something more powerful :(
I think this card has a strong effect but doesn't work well in control pally yet. I played a loot a of Healadin and the problems were everytime the same.
You overhealed the most time because you didn't draw thekal.
The boardclears were to expensiv (and cost in each scenario 2 cards). 4 mana left after pyromancer+equality (and that's the lowest mana card combo) isn't enough to pressure the enemy (the only minion is the 4/4 that transform into a 8/8 taunt).
The new dragon don't fix any of this problems. I think uther needs one good(!) new boardclear, 1-2 new 5 or 6 drop (it dont matter the Theme - dragon or heal) to become maybe a Tier 2 deck.
The point is... Will they ever print some aggro card in the future?
P.s I might fell asleep every game
Blackguard hasn’t seen much play for two years and once he leaves several supporters arrive. Feels sad.
Dealing 15+ damage to an ennemy minion ? meh
still doesn't beat OTK...
keep moving
Too expensive, bad stats, has a down side....
I don't see a world in which I would play this. Just to clarify I am only going to talk about standard. First off healing is in the most cases bad if it's not against aggro since you will probably be at full.
Against aggro: Too slow
Against heavy control:No point of healing since you are full HP most of the time. I am aware of combo to get 29 armor but for that you need 13 mana, 2 turn setup, 2 bad cards. Not to mention you are healing your opponent in process which isn't huge deal in control matchups
Against midrange: Only matchup where this could be meh, but again the biggest problem is you are paying 10 Mana for 4-12 with downside. I'll just leave at meh for this one
And finally
Against combo: Useless
Overall MY opinion on this cards: Dust it!
Which might be a little bit harsh coming from diehard paladin fan. Card just on first feels bad, even if it was bad but with cool effect or flavour (Bolvar comes into this category) I would play it but like this no thanks
Tbh this might be first expansion ever that I won't be trying to get paladin legendaries as a paladin main. Overall disappointed with what they are pushing with paladin it's like they can't decide. So far we got dragon, heal, secret, handbuff..... Not to mention we got 0 support for mechs while paladin legendary spell is based on mech synergy.... Don't know what to think or say seems like paladin as a class got too many identities
You can't judge a card without consideration of the deck it goes in. If you can last until you can summon this against aggro, you win. A heal-heavy control Paladin with dragon flavor seems like it could work (though I haven't tried building it). Thekal is a nice combo against other control decks, too.
As for "two bad cards", that's just nonsense. Combos specifically elevate bad cards. No one played Warsong Commander before Grim Patron was introduced.
