Developer Insights: The Season of Rastakhan
Hearthstone's Live Content Designer, Joseph "joemag" Magdalena, talks about the upcoming Season of Rastakhan and what we can look forward to in the Brawl of Champions.
Season of Rastakhan begins this week and runs from February 13 - March 3.
- There are three weeks of special tavern brawls.
- Special Quest: Play 3 Brawls, get a Rastakhan's Rumble pack. (Quest available once per week during event)
- Choose a Rumble Champion and play with their Shrine.
- Champions have a new deck and shrine each week during the event.
Probably for 2 reasons.
1: His horrid spelling.
2: They disagree with him.
>1: His horrid spelling.
got me there m8
Ungoro was alright it was very gimmicky but not that much replay value. Best adventure imo. Lich was decent nothing special tbh. Fighting lich king was nothing special imo. Witchwood was way too easy and less way to build you deck in Rahkastan. Never did boom. I feel dungeon run was better at the time but there was a huge power level in bosses. Imo WW<rahkastan<cobolds
Remind me solo content in Un'Goro please)
Probably downvoted because he mentioned Ungoro having a solo adventure when it didn't.
I don't see what's terrible about Rumble Run after the changes, it's a lot of fun. I enjoy it more than monster hunt.
Do we receive this quest automatically on a once-per-week basis or does it simply become part of the quest reroll pool?
And if in fact it's the former, which from the video seems more likely, should we keep 2 quest slots open?
Automatic every Wednesday so have 2 quest slots open end of Tuesday for 3 weeks starting tomorrow (it was part of patch notes)
From the video: "We'll also add a new quest that will award you 1 Rastakhan's Rumble pack just for playing the brawl"
I'd keep slots open. Also, soon you might lose the gold+dust quests from the Lunar Year quests, so clearing them today would probably be wise.
So as they give card pack as a quest now... does it mean that tavern brawl win reward is those 3 card backs? It did happen before like for example in Diablo themed tavern brawl and couple of Winter Veil tavern Brawls...
I think it's highly unlikely that the card backs would be brawl rewards (for this upcoming brawl series, at least), there's no point of not telling that already. Also they make very little sense thematically, especially the Legion one.
Depends on how they decide to "group" the shrines...
Then what is the point of giving away packs by special quests instead of usual way? What could be there then? Classic pack for one win and rastakhan pack for three brawls? No way.
tyrande pls tx
I would pay 20 bucks to not play as Anduin for the rest of my life, please make it happen blizz
From the sounds of that doesn't matter if win or lose for quest completion. Welcome news if so! :)
So those 3 cardbacks are unrelated with this event. Maybe the prediction that the 3 hint the 3 expansions for this year is true, even though its quite unusual to hint them this way.
It is too early to make this conclusion... 3 Rastakhan pack come from a weekly quest and not from Tavern Brawl reward... A few times in the past Tavern Brawl reward was a card back instead of a classic pack, it might be the case this time as well...
I guess you re right.
so we will be getting 2 packs? 1 for victory in brawl and 1 for 3 games? or only 1 pack?
There were cases when they gave card backs instead of packs as tavern brawl reward before... and there are 3 card backs for "future event" in the collection... so we might be getting those instead of classic pack for winning a tavern brawl,
