If you play on curve, 3 mana 3/4 does nothing until you can actually heal. Not that good unless you have your synergy cover up for the tempo lost in the next 2 turns. At which HP recover this card is good? I think 4 is fair and 6 is good enough. Otherwise 3 mana 3/4 does nothing is bad. Benevolent Djinn and Blackguard love him I think. Instant enable lifesteal and healing mechanic for the majority of the game. The problem of healadin is the "overheal" as shut your synergy down when you are at max HP. If you actually can draw and play this card, it is very good.
This expansion really has the most forced synergy ever.
But I shouldn't complain because these cards look fucking dope as hell. Somebody over in the design team is really going all in. If Heal Paladin and Discardlock don't become at least a tier 3 deck I dunno what will make them viable.
Holy moly, I love paladin, especially control version, and I'm glad that this card looks sooooo goood :).
This cards looks like it could single-handedly make heal paladin viable.
Paladin needed a card like this to make heal paladin viable! Mad props to Blizzard, I really like the design of this card!
HOLY CRAP
Not even bad stats. Blizzards serious about this one guys
Actually, thinking more on it now, a heal paladin deck could look like this (in terms of things that are seemingly 'unfair', which is what you're looking for in competitive decks):
* Kangor + double heals to make some underwhelming heals a little better.
* 8/8 taunt for 4 (new paladin card)
* 3 x 2/2 taunt for 2 (paladin spellstone, upgraded by healing)
* 3/3 for 0 (Happy Ghoul)
In addition, this could see the resurgence of stuff like Corpsetaker and Wickerflame, as well as Zilliax entering paladin decks.
I'm not yet convinced that 2 Happy Ghouls, 2 Spellstones and 2 8/8 taunts for 4 are enough to make heal paladin a tier deck, but one or two more good support cards in this set could definitely change my mind (I don't think I'd consider Lightwarden 'broken' enough for this sort of thing, as unless you start running underwhelming heal cards like Voodoo Witchdoctor it's usually going to be a 1/2 for 1 until about turn 4 or 5, which it should be dead before).
Fully upgraded Greater Pearl Spellstone summons a 6/6 taunt not 3x 2/2
Suddenly restoring 10 health doesn't look all that difficult...
Winged Dragon Of Ra? Kappa
This Troll has an extra finger
lol, wtf blizz
Here's the solution to the control match-ups... damn blizzard is actually bringing back Healadin this feels like Christmas
We're gonna be rich!
at least in wild...
Noice 29 armour 30 health with reno
They need to raise Molten Giant's mana cost to 40
Wow. Is this like... okay, for Wild?
I haven't really paid attention.
Wild's fucked up, man.
Looks like Paladin is going to highroll in Wild. Potential Turn 3 High Priest Thekal + Molten Giant + Molten Giant is really scary.
Even so, you aren’t taking damage, you are “converting” your health into armor, so it wouldn’t work anyway.
