The goblin girl reminds me of Bomb Squad from Gadgetzan expac
Hahah, yeah... late to the party and completely wrong - sounds about right for me! Whoops ;)
Say what you will about Dr. Boom*, but he takes that rejection like a champ.
*sure, he's lazy, egotistical, evil, a pushover, incompetent, kinda dumb (for a mad genius,) ignores his friends and colleagues, narcissistic, kinda unmotivated,
handsome, he's a plagiarist, unprepared, reckless... uh, what was I talking about again? So was there anything big revealed at 10 am today? The tavern brawl didn't really have anything to do with the story and I didn't see anything else get revealed during that time.
*Tin foil hat alert* the emphasis on the word 'conquest' in the penultimate panel means they are going to announce the tournament mode beta today.
You heard it here first ;)
it's almost like they're just additional free content that they probably didn't put that much effort into since it's not like they're expecting to make money off of.
Also, getting invested in characters whose only appearance ingame is as a card, that will more or less disappear after 2 years anyways, omegalul

Something Something "nerf the decks I lose against instead of making comics" Something Something
Something Something "outsourced" Something Something
Call it what you will, it is a waste of resources and that’s a fact.
It is waste of money, but not Human Resources, because comic is done by guys unrelated to making the game... they just hired some artists...
I don't think you know what "fact" means either
How hard is it for you to understand, that the guys making the actual game, don't make the comics themselves.
You really expect a programmer to do the same work as an illustrator?
Chances are this comic was probably outsourced, and it's highly unlikely that it was done by the same team that does the heroes and cosmetics. If I had to bet gold on this, it probably came out of the advertising budget, not the budget used to create those things, so the money wouldn't even be coming from the right place to do what you had suggested.
But then again, I'm just a random dude on the internet so what do I really know?
How about using that time to create more alternate heroes and cosmetics ? That seems reasonable to me.
How does it work then ? Do you mind enlightening me ?
It's not as if the dev team has to split their time between making the comic and doing what they do; they get seperate teams to do different things. It's not as if the dev team suddenly gets less money and resources when something like this is created; it's simply something on the side they're willing to invest in. It's not as if them doing this rules out other projects ; a company like blizzard has more than enough resources to support the development of multiple things at once. Whenever a company decides to do something small and extra and new that doesn't directly contribute to their main product, it's a fallacy to assume it comes at the expense of the main product. This is peanuts compared to the rest of the work they do. They probably just commission some writer and artist and OK it.
It's whimsical, funny, and flavourful. Don't whine and ruin nice things.
Yeah that advice was worth less than half a Dollar, true!
Do you think Blizzard can improve the game in any way if they decided to cut the fundings for the cartoons? I bet you could get a full 0,01 % of an expansion for that cut.
They should invest that money into making the game better instead of actually releasing useless comics. Just my 2 cents.
