Timestream Tracking - Phase 1 Voting!
We're in the final voting stage for Phase I of our brand new Design a Year competition! Competitors have been tasked in this phase with describing the bare-bones of three Hearthstone expansions which would wake up an imaginary Hearthstone year. They also had to choose what cards to Hall of Fame!

Checked a bit and my favourite mechanics I saw was Fate:X, Faction, infiltrate and Ancient:X
Faction: Like a cross over or Meanstreets gangs and odd and even mechanic. Could makes for really interesting deck building.
Fate: X: This is the dormant effect from Taverns of Time only the minion is still active on board but gets something extra in X amount of turns. Possible future threat that would make for decisions if you have to ignore it and rush face or slow down and trade. More decisions for aggro players is a good thing.
Infiltrate: Playing minions on either side of the board, gaining something by giving something to your opponent. I like it.
Ancient X: Cards you either play without an effect on the turn you draw them or let them stay in hand for X turns to get an additional effect.
Many of the other mechanics were really cool to, but so many of them are way to complicated to implement in hearthstone. And some of them would be completely impossible to use, it would be like putting only 10 cost cards in your deck and wonder why you lost on turn 4-5 without getting to play anything. It is just to slow for your regular hearthstone games.
come on i never knew this competition existed and i would like to participate in it, ehh what a bummer.
edit: i just notice it was announced last week or so, welp i guess it my bad for not looking.
Bunch of guys "predicted" the Magnetic mechanic one way or the other or return of mechs, pretty cool! :) Anyway, big CG and GL to every participant, you deserve it ;-)
I wonder when some of these ideas will siphon down to the HS team. Always good ideas here at HearthPwn.
Well I am sure they keep an eye on stuff. But they reportedly said they are planning for 1.5 - 2 years ahead, so within the process of time these ideas could get heavily diluted.
Very fitting given the theme going on here
