Hearthstone Card Balance Changes to Come After the HCT Playoffs
Blizzard has announced that a balance change patch will hit after the HCT Summer Playoffs conclude. The playoffs are finished at the end of May, so we don't have too much longer to go!
No specific changes have been announced, though Iksar has mentioned some problematic cards.

In the weeks after The Witchwood, the Hearthstone team has been avidly reading your feedback and monitoring data at all levels of play. We agree with your concerns, and we’re planning some balance changes after the HCT Playoffs are finished at the end of May. We’re not quite ready to share the details, but we’ll provide an update once the specifics are finalized.

Thank you for your feedback, patience, and your support.
Cheers!
you wouldn't say that if you played warlock, its even not enough that some people added brewmaster to the deck, only thing that makes it broken is interaction with lackey
I feel like Spiteful might be one card they are looking at. It will probably get the Bonemare treatment where the effect will stay the same, but the mana cost will increase. Cubelock may be looked at, but it doesn’t seem as much of an issue as Hadronox druid. Yes, Guldan brings everything back, but a Hadronox druid with Cubes can bring their board back 7 times. I’d imaging an increase to the Cube’s mana cost is in order to slow those both druid and warlock down too.
They released a list of cards they were looking at in an earlier post, I'll quickly find it and link it

Thanks. I hadn't seen that article yet. It still feels strange they are looking at warlock as much as they are. I'm not encountering them nearly as much as other classes. I just check my stats for the last 29 Standard games played and I faced Paladin 28% of the time, Priest 21% of the time, Warlock, Druid, and Rogue tied for 10%, and everything else a smaller % than that.
Cube Warlock is OK, but Hadronox Druid is the problem???? Hahahhaha are you kidding me right now??
*Warlock bias spotted*
Or I know how to play against warlocks? I just checked my winrate stats. Its showing 66.7% winrate against warlocks right now. So 2/3 of my games against warlocks, I'm winning. My secret is simply running 2 silences in my decks and a couple taunts to handle the charge demons. Clearly I must be biased towards warlocks.
Really, it depends on where you are right now in rankings. We're all talking about the game like we know what's going on at all levels of play. Cubelock could really be an issue at certain ranks. Where I'm at currently for the month, its not an issue. I provided stats above, but only 10% of my games are against warlocks right now. Over a quarter of my current games are against paladin followed by priest. At certain areas of the rankings, quest rogue is an issue. Only Blizzard can really see the full picture and I'm sure their nerfs are reflective of the overall needs of the game right now.
That answer itself is part of the reason Warlock needs nerfs. The fact that Silences are the only way to win against most Warlocks means that your winrate is based entirely on whether or not you draw a silence. Not only that, but since every deck is running several silences, other fun decks that rely on buffs or minions with passive effects suffer because of it.
Why not patch it earlier and let the pros show that they're pros and deal with it?
Because HS pro scene is constantly being screwed up anyway, let's have some mercy on those poor people why are trying to make money on this game
Nerf cubelock once and for all...
That's why some players want competitive "restricted" format which changes each week, i.e. this week banned cards Guldan and Call To Arms, next week new rules, i.e. only commons, rares and 1 epic card, etc.
It has to be open all the time (unlike brawl), mechanics shall not change and it should have some kind of ladder.
Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyy, more nerfs.
Still waiting for any buffs.
Then you can wait for a loooooooong time! :D
It's very, very, very rare that Blizz buffs cards. The "re-buff" for Molten Giants is one rare exception and even this wasn't "a real buff" - and the card went into HoF too. ^^
Never gonna happen. They'll release new cards
What would you buff, goldshire footman, Silverback Patriarch, Bootybay bodyguard, or......
What do i think about HS balance?
Did your opponent even play a card till turn 4? o.O
Yeah his opponent played mountain giant.
Looking at comments I may say not popular opinion, but i have to disagree with some of them. Possessed lackey, doomguard, Voidlord, even (maybe) cube is not real problem. The problem is guldan. The weak side of N'Zoth was that it summoned huge board, but very poor on taunts and real treats (like charge). There was just very few taunts in standard and no charge at all with deathrattle. And this two mechanics are very significant, taunt for surviving, charge for killing. GulDan have both of them. And 5 armor. And 3 lifesteal damage every turn after. There just makes no sense to fight coz on turn 10 you will face 3-4 doomguards and IF you somehow survive and clear it, you will die of heropower anyway. Nerf guldan is all that needed for cubelocks. There a lot of way to do it well, im pretty sure, coz with that insane heropower even if it would summon 1-1 copies of all dead demons it would be still good.
About spiteful, i dont know. I mean, i just like you get frustrated facing turn 6 turantos when i have no answer. But really, there are a lot of ways to deal with it. Vilespine, brawl, voodoo doll, some poisonous shit, behind taunt or with rush and so on. Also knowing your opponent have only UI or MC+scream+amber gives a lot. I think its OP of course, but not even close to cubelocks.
With paladins, the problem also not in Baku, dudes dominated the ladder before witchwood. Anyway, pals are just common aggro, but more swarmish. i would better play 2 paladins, then 1 fuckin tempo mage. At least they lost few secret oriented cards and become much weaker for which im glad
Oh yea, and because of barnes rotated, wild become more cancerous then ever Cmon blizzard, just delete fuckin barnes or resurrection.
