Explaining the February Mammoth Card Pack Giveaway
There have been some questions about the recently announced pack giveaway so I figured it was a good idea to break it down for everyone.
- Each day you can only obtain one entry into the competition, which comes from your daily quest.
- We're not sure on the reset time. It's either going to be with daily resets or at 9 AM PST (12 PM EST, 5 PM CET).
- The event runs for 14 days, which means you can only have a maximum of 14 entries into the competition.
- A client patch ended up not being needed for the giveaway to go live. The Korean translated post failed us here.
- Yes, someone is actually going to end up winning 3000 Hearthstone packs.
- No, there's no way to divide those packs up with everyone who enters. SMH
My best advice to you: Try and login around the same time every day to complete your daily quest and you should be getting credit for every day. You may miss out on one day, but that's what we get when Blizzard doesn't give us an official time the reset takes place. Due to us not having an exact reset time, there won't be timers on our homepage for the event. We will, however, be putting out posts on our Twitter and Facebook accounts as reminders to login and complete daily quests - a task you should be doing anyway!
its so hard for Blizzard make a hud in game?
I hope we don't have to pay taxes on the winnings.
* Upon winning 3k packs *
Your country finance ministry's calling : ''Congratulation on winning. You now owe us 1 700.34 HearthStone packs''
You : ''Can I pay with in-game currency instead?''
Gov. employee : ''Dust only, or we take your house ..!''
Lol, if only - The grand prize of 3000 packs at $1.50 a pack would have a cash value of $4500, plus the value of the other prizes could trigger some tax requirements - I guess we'll find out if a Hearthpwn member wins.
So, when will this event out?
I think it's 18 PM CET

The comments here hurt me haha. Why do people complain about this so much, about how this event is harmful. It literally does nothing to someone's enjoyment (except the people who actually win). You're going to play the game if you have fun. If you're not having fun, whyyy are you even playing it.
I hear ya. Some of these people are totally bonkers.
Question: will there only be one winner among all the servers?
Will the runner-up winners also be divided among the servers, meaning in theory someone could win more if they have accounts on multiple servers?
Or will there be separate contests for each server?
Reading the comments under this post... Blizzard is clearly NOT the incompetent party here.
I love the event, but man, would it have killed them to put something in the UI for this? An 'entry received for this date' popup? A tracker on battlenet? Anything? There is so much evidence that the Hearthstone client is a horrific mess when a flagship product like this can't get basic features.
Totally agree. I won't complain about a chance to win free stuff by playing a game, but I'd love any form of confirmation.
There is too much difference between the first prize and the others...really the first take it all???
Maybe I am just dumb but this is still no clear for me. Do we get an specific quest to do everyday to participate on this "raffle" or just completing a quest, any quest, will do?

Complete a quest/day, and stop worrying about it. Since we don't know the times of each day's reset, and the probability of winning the jackpot is absurdly low anyways.
Complete a quest once per 24-hour period, but we don't know when it resets. If you do it around the same time every day, you'll be fine.
besides, who cares about any of this. i am still waiting to get my money back due to blizzard's mistake tuesday.
