All recently reveled mage cards are asking for a Hemet, Jungle Hunter deck.
And with Archinologist you can get your ice block, so you can honestly do Hemet on-curve without much issue.
amazing card with all the new spells added. Otherwise, potentially not worth it over blizzard/flamestrike due to arcane intellect/secrets/frostbolt/glyph being in most of standard mage decks. it'll just be an rng card (yet the best way to abuse the effect is to build around it to get maximum effectiveness).
Seems like a solid card.
So you fill your deck with 5 mana spells so you can turn them into dragons with the legendary they announced, then you play this and kill all the dragons you worked for? Why is this a card?
you're kidding right? XD
Or play this on turn 5 to stop getting SMOrced?
dang you must be really stupid
I trying but i just cant understand how did you even came to that thought
At the lowest this is Volcanic Potion, at the highest it's better than Flamestrike for 2 less mana, playable for sure.
What is mage supposed to do earlygame without Frostbolt, Primordial Glyph and secrets? Play elementals, and get overrun like nobody's business? You have to at least stick an Ice Block or two in there to have any chance of a comeback...
mulligan hard and pray to RNGesus
Excavated Evil it 5 Mana for 3 damage and was played
The one problem with this card is the consistency issues
rng board clear, unless u don't play Frostbolt Glyph Secrets, than ur deck is bad, and this card won't help u. Bad
Not sure if I like this card. Not a fan of the high roll, low roll aspect of it. What exactly do you play this in? Not Tempo Mage for sure. Burn Mage wants to play some sercets. If you get 3 damage out of it, it's okay. Any build wanting to play this card is going to be hard pressed to pass on Frostbolt and Primordial Glyth. Also, Mage already has some of the best board clears in the game, including ones that don't blow up your board.
I love the aesthetic and direction, but I feel like we're talking 5 mana for something that may or may not be a reliable board clear depending on your deck. It's a good card in that Mage needs this type of tool at this mid-range part of the game (Flamestrike is a whole two mana away) and at least it's controllable RNG. But boy will it be a big tempo swing if you waste your turn 5 and pull a low cost card and miss your board clear opportunity.
i feel like this is too unreliable as a boardclear. I mean you will at the very least run a couple 2-mana spells.
Like obviously this is suppoed to be a control tool and it can work pretty well (6-7 damage board clears isn't unrealistic) but I really feel like the chance to lowroll at crucial points is just a bit too damning for a deck that really needs to get the most value out of each turn
