i would love to see you say that in april
Wow, even on small minions this secret is great. It kills pretty much everything that costs 5 mana or less instantly, and if your opponent plays a small minion into it, they're gonna get hit by 4 or 5 damage. Great card, a nice boost for secret-using Mage decks.
Always reliable! Since the exces damage goes to the enemy hero; so even if he plays a Divine Shield minion you still get to remove the Divine Shield and get a free Fireball to the opponents face!
No. Most likely you will just remove divine shield. Thats all.
"Excess" damage is those negative hit points a minion can get. Maximum excess is 5 and 0 is the minimum. If you play a Divine Shield minion, he takes 6 damage but its negated by the Divine Shield. That's the way to play around this card.

If the opponent plays a divine shield it's basicaly a 3 mana fireball since the minion takes 0 damage, interesting card!
If the enemy plays a minion with divine shield, neither the minion or the enemy hero take any damage. You just remove the Divine Shield.
This NEEDS to be the name. Still upset over the loss of Fluffy Ice Dragon
nice secret. especially quest mages will love to play around it before their assburning combo
LUL
Let's be clear: this is always 3 mana deal 6 damage, unless it hits a divine shield. Why Snipe is bad is because your opponent can play a small minion and be it may deal 1-2 damage instead of 4. This always deals 6, and works towards a tempo mage's goal of keeping board control and dealing face damage.
My opinion is that this card will see a boatload of play and everyone will hate it. 3 mana kill a Tar Creeper and ping your opponent's face. Completely insane.
Actually I was reading on Reddit that it's more likely that the divine shield gets popped and then you take 6 face damage. Since it deals 0 to the divine shield and any excess is dealt to your face.
Both outcomes make logical sense to me, so I guess we'll see what happens. But yeah, if tempo mage is popular and it doesn't deal face damage, I can totally see Lone Defender being better than Tar.
I would say meta defining. Tempo Mage will love it
I like how every card is "Fluffy" until it gets its final name :D
The one you played first. That's how it works with all secrets
Whichever was played before.
Good card to bamboozle your opponent, thinking it's Mirror Entity / Potion of Polymorph.
Ooo, I love the new excess mechanic.
Don't think I've ever seen that used before in the fan-creation section. I wonder how've we missed out on that.
There are hundreds if not thousands of fan made cards, I can assure you at least one of them uses this mechanic.
