Good luck!
In your first comment you talk about art, and now your comparing the price of 450 USD to a video game?? , if you think its okey ill sell you any video game for 450USD :))), also im NOT the one who sayd its hand made ,they DID when its clearly not.
Not to be a dick but the whole point of hand made in art is the fact that its unique cause you can't reproduce every detail perfectly ,if this is 3D printed only difference is if he messed up in assembling the parts.Lets take for example a good painting with its value at 450 USD will you give out the same amount of money if it was printed out on A3-A2 papper and not painted ?, Of Course NOT
the video game comment was an example of the preceding sentence about quality. I assumed you could infer that. If you saw my point as being about $450 video games than i see there is no conversation to be had here lol. sorry to bother you ;)
There are multiple factors that come into setting price points on collectible items such as statues. If every one of the statues was hand made the price point would be astronomical considering the number of hours that would need to go into each piece. Comparing hand made art to figurines as a poor point to make. You probably have zero idea how much hand made art really costs when paying for high quality pieces and clearly have no idea how expensive detailed collectable figurines are regardless of what their source IP is.
I do agree at $350-$450 it is getting close to pushing out lukewarm collectors and markets to the diehards but I also feel that if you want high quality collectable statues, this is what you should expect to pay. Have a 18' Tali (ME1-3) statue that was in this range but was also a limited edition so there are only so many that were made in the first place. Same goes for these two figurines just that the amount produced is not set in stone but at some point they won't be making these any longer.
Like you say there are a number of factors , I would like to point out the price an artist can ask for ther work differs from country to country , IF for example you live in a country were an average factory worker makes 390USD/mothly income (not exagerating its my country) the artist can either target the wealthy minority ,or either target the day to day person lowering ther prices. Heres an example STAR WARS chess board https://www.ebay.com/p/Star-Wars-Saga-Edition-Chess-Set-Parker-Brothers-2004-Complete/1100161372?iid=292314919218 that is much more affordable to everyone,
you even quoted my comment in which I DO state " hand assembled and hand painted only "
some discrimination why is the woman always worth less than a man?
Her statue is 6" smaller.
haha, manlet
second row middle picture. ;)
Maybe they're running VirtualBox on an Amiga.
For that kind of art, price is quite cheap.
must be 1350$ .
Not kiddin bdw.
What Organs Can You Live Without?
I really want that frozen throne pic, but I'm tempted to just print it out.
How big is this 'statue'?
I believe that I read it's 18 inches tall.
It's not the size that matters, it's how you display it.
Insert *F2P complaining about statue prices* here
That time you see the statue and you're like, "Hell yeah I want one!" then you see the price and you're like, "Hell no I don't want one!"
