12 mana, 2 overload, 16 health over 4 turns. Sick value. /s
This could be pretty good if Rogues had either "Discover a weapon" or "Equip a random weapon from any class" from something.
Also, the Rogue DK hero card is going to likely have some type of higher attack.
Cards like these need incentive for players to play them, something as little as +1 dmg to weapon is good enough.
Took years, is absolute trash.
2 mana for what will most of the time be only 6 healing over 2 turns ( i.e weapon removal, something quite plentiful nowadays, halves it ) is already pretty damn bad, but then you consider that weapon cards aren't even played anyway, which means that to play this subpar card you need to play even more subpar cards for it to even work. Plus if your deck actually plays weapon buffs to get access to these heals, it'll be even more pressured into taking face damage through weapon attacks than if it didn't, meaning that what health you will recover thanks to this weapon, you will have lost to not waste the weapon buffs you needed to play with it anyway.
Baring Blade Flurry being reworked to work with this, which I don't believe one instant because that would be a smart *gasp* buff, or a very good weapon card, this won't see play at all. Playing this card will be the reason you need the healing, because you'd be better off not wasting card slots and mana on weapon buffs and using actually good cards instead.
I don't get it.... What rogue weapon would be useful to use with this? I hope they introduce more weapons with 3+ attack.
Screw this shit... gimme back my oil rogue
Probably should have given your weapon +1 Attack on top to be viable (at least with existing cards).
Should be better if costs 1 mana, it seems overpriced. It would be nice to have a high attack/durability weapon other than Assassin's Blade, or a weapon buff like Oil
I wonder if effect stacks. Imagine you need a good burst heal and you have 2 of these. Doubling the effect might turn the tables! But if you can use only 1 per weapon it might be slow :(
Nope, it doesn't.
this expansion so far: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
As long as they didn't make the Lich King ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I'm cool with it
From the look of the effect, there would need to be some major synergy going on for this to be worth 2 mana. I guess they are assuming we are using big rouge weapons in the next expansion. Hasn't been the case so far.
I like how blizzard is giving healing to classes that usually don't have it while maintaining the class identity. Warlock gets healing through sacrifices (Blood-Queen Lana'thel), and rogue through weapon manipulation. Now let's hope they release more cards that make this playable.
This is really cool! Sure it's no MVP because it can't fit the Rogue playstyle, but you notice now Blizz keeps putting a little piece of the mythical Control Rogue with each release (Anub'Arak, Blade of C'Thun, heck even the Jade cards). Maybe one day in wild Rogue will be able to play a much slower deck that isn't just Nzoth :D
Will see as much play as poisoned blade... in the disenchant screen.
That joke was Savage!
