I made a video highlighting the top 3 budget decks for May so far! All are from here :) I hope you guys enjoy!
thank you
to those who are wondering about the deck selection for popular decks of the week:
I once asked a mod about it because one of my decks was on front page for days but never showed up in "popular decks of the week" and received following explanation which I found very helpful (I hope that it is not a problem that I post this now?!):
"I'm not going to go into the full calculations because I don't want people to game the system, but what I am willing to say is the view count you see on your deck is not the view count we look at.
There's a couple of variables in play here with the main one being views. Due to the way we calculate views on the site and how easily abused it can be, I don't rely on that data and instead get it from google analytics along with some filter magic. In addition to that, I log other goodness to bring into the equation.
So when it comes down to it, your deck simply didn't make it whereas other ones, even ones that are a couple of weeks old, ended up gaining enough interest to keep them up there (which happens all the time!). The posts have never been about looking at the best newly created decks, but decks on the site as a whole.
I have a couple of recommendations for the future.
And most importantly, it doesn't matter if you're in the top decks of the week post. You're on the front page which gains way more eyeballs than those posts do and it's arguably harder to stay up on the front page so that's a job well done ;)"
Competitive deck building meta lul
A Quest Mage deck in the Top WIld Decks. Just wow.
why do you feel that?
what section of the deck makes you question its usability or usefulness.
Feel free to rag on decks but supplying no feedback is not useful at all.
The Reno Malchezaar Warrior Deck is utter shit. Please edit your algorithm and only include decks that even received digit numbers in likes.
Haha yeah! The deck selection is kinda arbitrary. I know that, cause even one of my decks made it to the list lul.
edit: at least for Wild.
ty! but ONE i have to say: This Forum, the best I've ever seen.
what a mammoth beginning.
Who has chosen these decks? And why?
Because they are the most upvoted this week
Have you checked it? Some of them have 5 or less upvotes.
I think there is an algorithm to it. Not sure tho
I will try some of them, I'm stuck at 10
A lot of these decks are definitely viable to reach legend, but I would suggest checking out something like Vicious Syndicate's Data Reaper if you want to pick based purely on performance. I think the ones here are more about popularity, which in some cases favors OFF-meta decks because people get tired of playing the same meta deck over and over again - which is certainly an understandable desire. But it just depends on what your goal is, as far as what deck to pick. VS has great stats on the meta and how certain archetypes match up against other popular ones.
