Blizzard: "Journey to Un'Goro Card Distribution is Working Properly"
In a statement issued on the Battle.net forums by Daxxarri, Blizzard has addressed the recent community concerns regarding card distribution and has clarified that card distribution is working properly.
Quote from BlizzardWe have seen a number of posts from our community today regarding Journey to Un'Goro packs and the possibility that they might be distributing an abnormally high amount of duplicate cards. We want to assure everyone that we have looked into this concern and have found that Journey to Un'Goro card distribution is working properly, both at a per card and per rarity basis, and is consistent with previous Hearthstone releases.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We really do appreciate all the feedback, even when related to possible bugs or concerns around the game.
I opened 83 packs, 75 of which was from saving gold since Old Gods and got 2 legendaries (Pyros and Rogue Quest). Was pretty dissapointed but at least the rogue quest is busted ;)
15 packs, no Legendaries, 1 Epic and 1 Gold Epic.
Thats above average. Legendaries are 1 in 20 packs. And Golden Epics are more rare than Legendaries.
I'm not saying my results are bad I'm just posting my sample size.
Quests are legendaries.
18 packs; two legendaries. Both Elise :(
That's still pretty good for legendary drop standards, I only got 1 legendary and it was a quest card out of 40 packs
Seemed odd to get the same legendary when there is so many.
Ozruk seems like a beast in the right elemental deck. It's hard to kill a 5/30 without hard removal.
In 58 packs I got one single legendary... the shitty druid legendary that more or less looks like a common card.
I felt that I am waaay below average when it comes to luck :(
Atleast one quest should have been guaranteed from the preorder packs.
i opened 333 packs 4 golden legendaries for a total of 16 with some dupes total dust value was was over 16k.; needless to say i crafted the few remaing i needed in gold and the last few epics and have the entire set on release day. glad i had ton of free amazon coins....got the entire set for 200 bucks
is it really that bad for them to compensate us with like 5-10 packs ?
Significant server issues post-launch which resulted in many players being unable to open their packs for several hours. Granted this is more difficult to fairly address than the Gadzetgan pack issue, but there is still a significant and recurring issue with HS releases that needs to be fixed.
I wont complain having 3 legendarys instead of 6 cuz each one has a duplicate of 2 but WTF?!
Even though the system is "working as intended" it doesn't mean the system is good. What I am getting from a lot of posts (and what Blizzard is getting too) is that people are very dissatisfied with the cards they got (regardless of F2P or P2P).
I certainly wasn't happy with my results, but I understand why. There are just so many legendaries in this set it requires almost double the amount of packs normally required just to obtain them. on top of that since 3/4 of the legendaries are class specific, and the neutrals aren't super deck defining, the only ones that matter are the quests. People are seeing patterns where they don't exist, but it doesn't mean that there isn't a problem.
