Important: Higher Chance of Opening Faction Cards Bug
Blizzard just confirmed that there is currently a higher chance of opening faction cards in Mean Streets of Gadgetzan packs. We suggest not opening your packs until this is resolved.
We will update this post when we have more info.
Quote from PlayHearthstoneWe are currently aware of reports of players having a higher chance of opening tri-class cards in MSOG packs and are looking into it.
Mean Streets of Gadgetzan Pack Simulator
We've updated the Gadgetzan pack simulator to be more true to the real thing. I wonder what you'll get!
Here's how it's gonna end: US will open their packs and get all tri-class cards they need, through they will still cry so Blizz will get them full refund (in dust) on those cards. In the end they will have all tri-class cards, ton of dust to craft the rest, and the EU will be fuc**d yet again (because till then the bug will be fixed)
So you'd rather have your packs bugged and rigged? It sounds more like EU are the cry babies in this situation. A lot of people have put a lot of real money (me included) into packs today and you don't think finding out that our purchases are essentially 20% less valuable because of the bug we shouldn't be angry? That's ridiculous.
Gj on the card simulator, feels just like the real thing
60 packs: 2 Kazakus and 1 Auctionmaster Bearo, also 3 brass knuckles and 3 piranha launcher. Feelsbadman. Good to know that the one exciting card I got (in duplicates) is because of an error. Wish I had read this before opening.
Really glad the only way to know this is by checking blizzards website or hearthpwn, something that most players don't do mind you. The very least they could have done was give us an in game notification. I expect some sort of compensation
I'm actually happy with the bug.
My wants were:
Aya Blackpaw
Kazakus
Don Han'Cho
Pally Legendary
Priest Legendary
Mage Legendary
Warrior Legendary
In 74 packs I opened 3 Kazakus, 1 Don Han Cho, and The Warrior Legendary. I've got 40 packs left and am crossing my fingers I can pick up Aya Blackpaw. Worst case scenario every legendary I got was good since the tri-class legionaries are all power-houses. If I picked up 3 of that rogue garbage, or the stupid mayor I would have been much more pissed.
Missed the post and opened my packs. From sixty packs I got 91/132 cards. Legendary cards: white eyes, Genzo, Kazakus, Aya Blackpaw, Mayor Noggenfogger. Seemed like a typical bulk pack purchase?
I would open packs until I got either Aya or Kazakus, then quit opening until fix. But I'm in EU FeelsBadMan
I think the only "perfect" solution is allowing players to individually opt to go back in time on their pack opening during the bugged period, since some players did luck out and wouldn't want to lose what they got, yet most of us certainly feel ripped off. Blizzard has to do something other than nothing considering the amount of real world money people spent on this.
Blizzard, if I was you: I would reward all players: (3-10) free packs instead of the cheap "sorry" message.
Don't disappoint us!
It's really upsetting when you open 4 legendaries and they are 3x Kazakus and one Aya Blackpaw
retarded already opened 100+ packs before i saw this me and a million other players better get something in return how do you fuck something like this up?
Thank you for the warning.
Personally, after hearing about the bug I made the choice to take my chances with the tri-class bug. I spend 3900 gold (plus 2 packs free from blizzard for doing quests). I ultimately got a lot of repeats like the warning said (56 commons and 2 rares to be dusted). However, I wanted a tri-class legendary and was banking on the pity timer to give me one. Well, I got two tri-class cards. I consider that gamble a big success.
Not to mention I got 9 golden cards... which are pretty.
For 3900 i got:
85/98 commons
48/72 rare
7/54 epics
3/20 legendaries
It prove that in Blizzard if want it, would give us the card that missing in every pack, if they can screw up with this, why dont fix the algorytm for every Legendary, Epic and Rare, warrante dont be a that I own!!!!
You speak very well england sir
What an insightful analysis, wow!
Checking if its intended or not, and figuring out the software development end of things shouldn't take too long, but that's only the first step. Once they figure out what happened, they would need to brief management. Management would need to have a meeting to figure out the response. Once they decide on the response, they would need to run the response by Legal and PR (probably another meeting or series of meetings). Once everyone was happy with it, they would then need to get approval of the response from upper management (another meeting). Once upper management signs off, they would need to brief the community and support teams (another meeting).
You have all agreed to blizzards "end user agreement" (or whatever it is called) which essentially say that they dont have to do anything for you and you can't whine about it. So unless they are feeling nice, we wont get anything.
Well you pay for completely randomized packs and that is not what you get. When a bought product (in this case packs) is not what it is said to be by the seller, you are always eligible for a refund or compensation by the company. So yeah Blizzard is lawfully bound to do at least some form of compesation should this truly be the case.
