This card is very failfish Blizzard.Nice card Design
In Arena Brewmaster's effect often costs tempo for very little value gained and you wish you could play him without its effect. Ferryman is exactly that - a Brewmaster you can choose to not trigger. Not good enough for constructed, but a decent card in Arena.
maybe if there is such a deck, you want to play cards over and over again
maybe the Jade deck is like that, to use the battle cry to summon many jade golems
rogue has a spell for that, and there are the brewmasters + this one now, more options
Ok if under the remaining rogue cards is like another card ike burglar i kinda could see it but still as a combo deck to weak.
The Battlecry to let us play 2 of these + 2 brewmasters would be so sick OP i cant even imagine it.
FeelsRogueMan
Isnt ths just exactly brewmaster but with combo and stats swaped? I dont get it....ok now i can play 4...but do i wanna?!!????
Psst! Don't trust this guy. Has the same affect as our old rouge buddy, kiddnapper...
Tuen 1: Swashburglar
Turn 2: The Coin Gadgetzan Ferryman Swashburglar
Not too bad of a start. Still end up with 1/1 and 2/3 on board on turn 2, and 2 funny cards from your opponent.
2/3 is better than 3/2. And rogue will have the fake coin, so...
Cause Brewmaster is not optional, Brewmaster doesn't get play because sometimes the forced return is very bad for tempo. This card gives easy control over return or not, it is also priced low enough to make comboing possible, you rarely want to return a card to hand early game anyway.
How can a card activate its effect on itself before it even enters the board?
Brode comments tomorrow: "not all cards are supposed to be competitive"
Brode comments two days later: " k guys. We fucked that up. But hey we listened to the community alright? We will not include this card in arena draft. Happy now?"
dejavu confirmed.
Its pretty good in arena tho, standard 2 drop stats plus the ability to return a minion
it is way better in arena then the old brewmasters
you rarely want to pull something back
a brewmaster can be a dead card, you if are even with your opponent, you can lose the game if you pull something back
and if you do need to pull something back, this can be comboed easily, it is cheap enough
How is the card art wasted at all. It's a fish man on a boat, despite your disapproval this text and card art fit perfectly. A fish man that brings things(in this case minnons) back to your hand. I just don't see how the card art is "wasted".
A 2/3 is better than a 3/2 if played as an early drop. The 3/2 stat line is better played later on though. In terms of a midrange rogue, which seems like the theme for rogue this expansion. I'm happy to see this as an addition.
I understand the shadow step comparison however sometimes shadowstep can remain as a dead card in your hand. In a best/worse case scenario, this card could be a 2/3 (that might) trigger a different combo card such as evis etc. While I'm not trying to say this card is absolutely mind blogging, for any rogues considering taking youthful brewmaster this card should be better. Maybe it comes down to playstyle but the flexibility of this card is what makes it a worth while addition.
I'm probably going to get downvoted again for this comment. However I wanted to share my thoughts on the card.
