Kabal Community Voting Failed - Jade Lotus Will be Next Week
Some said that it didn't matter, that the system is rigged and we'd hit 100% regardless of who voted. 57.52%, that's where we ended. While this card will end up being revealed at a later date, likely just before the expansion launches in a card dump, we won't be seeing it early.
Although some don't think this is the best system to reveal extra cards, it is what we have been given for this expansion and we encourage everyone to get out next week and hit that button so we can get an extra, early card for the Jade Lotus.
Quote from BlizzardThis gang’s already gotten all the support they could… but there’ll be a new gang in town on Monday. Check back.

In response to you going to Gwent:
I used to play Pokemon Trading Card game and the same happened for me. I got discouraged with the game because the creators made the game where any kid could spend $60 and have the best deck in the competitive format. A lot of good/established players left that game for the same reason, as it took away the creativity aspect of the game away. Before players could come up with secret decks and surprise other players at tournaments and do well, and it was known who had the knack for "breaking formats" as they could come up with decks that would counter everything that was good before with cards that everyone else saw as having little to no potential of being good. Then they made the change that I spoke of already, they made it where that didn't exist. They made like 10-15 super cards that every had to in order to win. In a format where there are around 500, you cancel around 90% of the card pool. Decks are 60 cards in Pokemon and we had staples which too were cards that everyone played, but they didn't overpower everything else, they were needed for decks to even function.
Pokemon had a huge disadvantage that Blizzard doesn't take advantage of. HS is a digital game, they can modify any card they feel like needs to be changed with a simple patch. Neither Pokemon nor MTG nor Yu-Gi-Oh, which have been in the top 5 TCGs have had that luxury as they are that, TCGs. IMO Ben Brode is a fucking idiot that has no clue what he is doing with this card game. The way they create cards, nerf/buff(if those ever happen again) is just simply atrocious. Here are some of the simple flaws that they don't do because "that's not the way we intend for a class to be play":
Rogue having no heals. One of the biggest ways Rogue used to clear was with Deadly Poison. They removed HealBot with that GvG but gave no replacement for Rogue in order to order to clear with Deadly Poison, so that card is almost none existent now. Instead of being creative and making a card that steals "food" from it's enemies they just make cards that steals cards from other classes (Priest already had that, so not creative or original). The "food" could have been a resource/mechanic that gave Rogue some heals. Not only that but they gave Blade Flurry a double nerf, not only does it not do damage to the enemy hero anymore, it cost more Mana. They have done this multiple times to a lot of classes, double nerf cards, rather then 1 simple nerf to balance a card. They over do it and make cards none playable, which takes away from creativity, which in turn leads to lower sales. It's as simple as that. Because any smart player like you and me could say, "Fuck it, I don't like what they did with this set as Blizzard made this one class super powerful and I don't really like playing with that or against class, so I'll just buy cards from my gold and not invest money into it". When they make more cards/classes that are playable at the same time, players are more willing to spend money as they like having more options. The main reason I'm playing HS right now is I'm giving it a chance to fix it's flaws, a set or two more of the same shit and I'm out of this card game just like I was out of Pokemon. I invest about $100 each set that I like and best I can afford to, that's about every other set up until this point. Now imagine me doing it EVERY set, rather then every other set. I know I'm just one player but from all the complains I see there are a lot people that feel the same way I do.
What every Esports game needs to look at the closest thing to their game that is already established and learn the good things professional leagues do for their games. For League of Legends, Dota, CS:GO, Overwatch it's the NBA, NFL, any professional professional league that is well established. For HS it's MTG.
Nice text wall - respect.
Since I'm lazier than you, i'll just say that I agree with most of your points, like not spending money but still wanting to believe the game will get better at one point. I also think that blade flurry nerf was totally unneeded.
Cheers.
Should have been vote for your favourite faction and the most gets the next card revealed from that faction. This was just a click a button fest that isn't engaging in anyway.
I mean, I was excited about this card, and what it will mean for renolock.. but at the end of the day, who gives a shit. Its still going to be released at the same time as all the other cards.. it changes nothing in the long run
And Blizzard just epically trolled us XD
No trolling, Kabal just lost.
Justified as we've only seen a single Jade Lotus card so far.
I can see why people are annoyed with this and I'm not saying that because people didn't vote. It's a case of you click this button and if you and many others do so you will get to see what cards will come.
I remember when Old Gods came out and it got people voting to see which card they wanted to see and to me that's what made the voting button great, people were talking about which cards they wanted to see. And of course people voted to see what they wanted.
But with this voting, you are voting to see the next card in a ordered list. Now there may be some cards that some would have liked to seen but because it was put in a order, people have been trying to get people to vote, so that they hope they can see that card. However, most have just ignored this because they thought Blizzard would reveal the card anyway. And to be honest if people are telling you to do something and it doesn't interest you, it can seem like a people is nagging at you rather than trying to encourage you to vote.
I couldnt find a voting page. I tried the official MSOG website last week and it wasnt clearly indicated. I felt like there should have been more info on the main page but I honestly couldnt see the vote button or a page to visit to vote.
After that failure, I didnt care to try again as some of the card reveals have been naff.
I just really want Blizzard to do more interesting things with the game. New mechanics, more portraits, better ranked play. So frustrating!
I'm sorry we cant see the bonus card reveal :'(
just a boring card
fuck off
I didn't upvote you because at the time of my reply you had exactly 18 upvotes and that was fitting (and confusing D=)
Wait... there's a voting page?
hmm, not enough people voted on page that wasnt even promoted almost anywhere (and you have to scroll to click that vote button that gives you almost invisible feedback) so they decided to punish those who actually care...
wow
:/
Edit: moreover, they punished all those casuals who didnt even know there is a voting page...
KABAL=
Klick
Again
Brainlessly
And
Lose...
:(
Choosing between two cards was waaaaay better than this.
So we are bad customers because we dont vote to see a card that is going to be dissapointing like almost all the time? F*ck you too then Blizzard you and your team of Hs sucks.
I ain't voting for anything. It's a stupid way to reveal cards. Downvote me if you don't agree I don't care, it's still true. There is literally no reason to be excited beyond getting new cards to play with later. Already decided i'm not pre-ordering. There is no pre-order bonuses or anything to get excited for in advance. I'll just wait and see when it releases like everyone else I guess. The extra couple card packs from pre-ordering isn't enough reason to pre-order IMO.
The most annoying week was previous week. People were excited, people voted. Then crap which buffs minions in hand was revealed. People still had hope that next revealed card will be interesting and voted again. Then another crap card which almost exactly the same was revealed. And again and again. And then people though "man come on, atleast legendary card HAVE TO be something interesting, right? Let's vote people! ". And then Don hancho was revealed. And now after a grand fail of whole week of reveals of basically same shitty card... no one gives two thoughts about voting anymore. Way to go blizzard, making boring vote system to artificially build the hype and then choose the most boring gang with absolutely zero creativity to be first and kill that hype. Well played.
At the end they just punished who wanted to see the card just because of who doesn't give a fuck. This is just a dick move from blizzard. Such a dick move deserves a punishment from society.
