HearthPwn Card Design Competition Season 4 - Release the Beast
This week's card design competition submission phase is live and the theme is Release the Beast.
This weeks theme comes from nurgling13, whose "Bribe" was the winner of our "Death and Taxes" competition. For this comp, it's all about beasts.
Competition-Specific Restrictions:
- Your card must be a Druid card.
- Your card must be a Beast, create a Beast in some way (i.e., summoning a Beast, transforming something into a Beast), or interact specifically with Beasts.
- If your card is labelled a Beast but depicts something that is clearly not a Beast - for example a Dragon, Furbolg or Worgen - it will be considered to be subverting the rules.
- Since the theme of this week is improving the Beast Druid archetype, any Beast interactions must be net positive. This means you can't interact only with enemy Beasts (e.g., "Destroy an enemy Beast"), and you can't purely hurt or destroy friendly Beasts without a secondary, positive effect.
Submit Your Card Design Today!
Head on over to the submission thread to read the rules and submit your entry. Also be sure to check out this week's discussion thread.
My entree would be something along the lines of "Lonely Alpha"
5 mana 4/7 battlecry: destroy all friendly beasts, +1 attack for each beast destroyed this way
4/7 is a high start for a 5 drop, but i like the idea. However it feels more hunter-y, druids arent destroyers. And with [Brann Bronzebeard] around, thats a strong battlecry potential on top of the big stats for the drop. Cool idea tho.
someone make my card happen?
Leader of the Pack (Epic)
Tauren Cat Druid lookin badass lion or w/e howlin at the moon or with the old Heart of the Wild paw behind it, burning for the golden obviously.
(6) 5/4 Friendly beasts have +2 Attack (Aura effect)
Also a beast.
Think about what beast druid lacks of. Draw is pretty bad still. So something like 4 mana 3/3 beast, draw a card or give another beast minion +2/+2 is fine
isn't it ''Unleash the beast''?
Yeah xD
it is a reference to this <snip>
