New Neutral Legendary Card Revealed - Splendiferous Whizbang
Hearthstone on Twitter just revealed a new Whizbang's Workshop card: Splendiferous Whizbang
All Whizbang's decks and Duels Tresures will be discovered when the expansion launches (or during the Theorycrafting streams).
Discuss this Card- Whizbang (formerly Wonderful, now Splendiferous) will randomly assign you 1 of his 12 Experimental decks at the start of the game. These are curated lists that each represent a class with a unique twist on traditional deck building. :) (Source)
- Putting Whizbang in your deck during deck building will prompt you to approve the removal of all other cards from your deck, and will set Whizbang as the hero. At the start of the game it will randomly assign you an Experimental Deck, and the corresponding hero. (Source)
- If you ever played with the OG Whizbang, this will look very familiar to you. (Source)
- Drats! Technical issues were discovered while testing out "Copycat Deck."Unfortunately, this specific Experimental Deck won't be available when Splendiferous Whizbang goes live. The 11 other rule-breaking recipes are unaffected! (Source)
Question: Can you please clarify what quests will be in «Questing Deck»
Answer: The shaman deck uses the 3 current shaman quests. (Source)

Back in the day i crafted on 3 alt accounts golden Whizbang cause it was cool addition to complete quests while lacking collection. Nice to see that they are changing stuff so they can further recycle same mechanics. I just hope that fyaat shiet Ben Brode doesn't return and fuck this game more by adding unnecessary RNG to all cards.
Might as well mention these here:
The Copycat deck is disabled on launch due to a bug.
According to a HS dev, it's impossible for two Whizbang decks to pick Copycat against each other. It is also not the cause of the bug, which is more complex and why it won't be ready by expansion launch.
Why release again same card as old Fizzle? xDDD
Boring legendary card. Please make battlefield 10 minions slots and Hero Health 50 instead.
That's dumb
they have resources to make this complicated interaction, but not to keep duels mode, interesting
Instead of random deck recipes this Whiz has set decks that seem to have some sort of rule breaking in how the decks are built. One has two copies if the legendaries in it. One has cards from all classes, etc.
Hope so, because it appears to be an almost like-for-like re-release of Whizbang the Wonderful, surely they wouldn't do that to us...?! Or am I missing something?
I assume this will be the free neutral legendary of the rewards track, right?
i sure hope so, but seeing blizz's track record it will only be in packs and a 50 dollar diamond version of it.
I think it will be Zilliax, since he was the neutral legendary revealed together with the expansion, which in previous expansions oftentimes ended up being the free one. Not always though.
What can be said though, is that the relevance of a character to an expansion, the complexity of its effect or the power level has no meaning for which one ends up as giveaway.
So... kinda hard to predict. But I would bet it is either Zilliax or Whizbang, regardless of what else comes up.
Do we have confirmation this replaces your entire deck for every option, like old Whizbang? Or do you build a normal deck with Whizbang in it, and play that deck/class if you hit quests or duels treasures or automatons? Or do you get a deck recipe with that modification?
A lot of deck recipes aren't that far from meta versions of the archetype if the archetype is good. I have a mild fear that a below average deck that sometimes has treasures or free quests ends up a serious climbing option. On the flip side, I think at minimum you can queue this and put up a good enough fight on average to have real games. I'm enthusiastic about this. I'd be down to jam it when I'm fed up with climbing for the month. When old Whizbang was out I'd rather just play a deck I have.
Oh! One more thing, A lot of the random card versions guarantee the cards are playable. Can we have this for the oops all 1-mana discover or oops all zerus brawls? Pretty please? Can that just be a normal feature of cards like Shifting Scroll or Shifter Zerus? Thank you!
Since there is supposed to be neutral option it most likely doesn't matter what class you craft the deck. It probably will be prebuild decks like old Zayle, Shadowcloak, or what was the name, from the adventure
"This deck is heroic" is likely filled with all of the League of Explorers - all the Renos, all the Elizes. Kind of insane? Especially if that entails having both Reno, Lone Ranger and The Amazing Reno.
waste of a slot, cant wait to open it!
If they want to make this a consideration of anyone but a timmy, include unique cards only found in the deck. Something.
I think is the perfect card. Whizbang is one of the most beloved and unique cards in the game. People would get mad if the card did something too different to the first Whizbang, but also if the card does something too similar. This is quite a sweetspot.
It's not a good card, but like, I think that people easily forgot that the original Whizbang wasn't a good card, it saw a ton of play on the first week, and then drop dramatically, cause playing random decks is just not that fun for most people. Specially if you enjoy deckbuilding. But I think that the card does what it has to do.
Is a fun card that could be usefull if you don't have a big collection, but is going to get boring eventually. I think that one way of make the card a lot better is if you can choose what deck you are going to play (like with the new Zylliax) if thats the case I think it has more potential of see play cause you can play the deck that you like. And maybe that's the case, cause you have like 12 Tokens.
But if is completle random like in the original Whizbang I think is going to not see that much play later in the set.
So its true. The player base is declining and they force everyone to play against total beginners who get a top deck. Bots galore! Yay!
Just a reminder that the old Whizbang the Wonderful is currently a wild card, which is stupid because it only allows you to play the latest premade standard decks (Which are pretty bad anyway). The only real possible purpose he has is to test standard decks with cards you don't already own, in order to gauge if they're worth crafting. This is not gonna work in the wild meta where a premade, unoptimized standard deck cannot possibly be viable. Would love to see them make an exception for him and move him to standard permenantly so he isn't completely useless.
You'd be surprised to see what is viable in Wild when your MMR is sufficiently low. Should be the case for most people who never played Wild to begin with or haven't done so in a very long time.
Regardless, there's no reason that Whizbang decks shouldn't be eligible for standard games.
