The first day of the new month, and a new Season! This is the 119th Ranked Season, and this will be the first season that counts towards the 2024 Hearthstone Esports events, with the February Standard Ranked ladder giving points towards qualification for the Masters Tour Spring Championship!

As in previous months you now have the option to play ranked in the new game mode Twist, and not just in Standard or Wild! We have the new Twist rules for February down below!

February 2024 Twist Rules

When Twist returns in February, it will kick off a new season with a new card pool and a new rules twist: Commons only. No legendaries? No problem! Your Collection won’t be a barrier as you build a deck using only Commons from all Hearthstone sets up until the introduction of Demon Hunter, plus Caverns of Time. The eligible sets for this season will be:
- Core (not Legacy)
- Curse of Naxxramas
- Goblins vs Gnomes
- Blackrock Mountain
- The Grand Tournament
- The League of Explorers
- Whispers of the Old Gods

Demon Hunter and Death Knight are not in the eligible class pool for this season. Discover and random generation effects follow the same rules and card pool.
Rewards
A new month also means we all received our ranked rewards from last month. You can let us know in the comments if there was anything particularly cool you got from the reward boxes or packs!

Posted Feb 2, 2024 (Druid, Rogue & Paladin Balance Changes)Twist mode has a weird anomaly where Snipe and Mana Wyrm are legal cards due to Caverns of Time, however, the Legacy versions can’t be used. So if you don’t own the CoT versions, you either craft them or go without.
Made a post in their Bug Report forums since I feel this is wrong. I thought no matter the version, if you owned a card legal to a specific format you could use it.
The biggest issue with this is in the future, someone who got a specific legendary through CoT and doesn’t have it from the base set it was from might be shit out if luck when a later month includes that minion’s base set but not CoT.
Overall, this presents a much bigger problem in the long run for future Twist months if they do more straight to Wild/Twist sets with “reprints”. Potentially creating more situations like this and further alienating people from the mode if not corrected.
