Did you not read the part where it opens a portal when summoned, and its third ability clearly says "summon two infernals from the Twisting Nether"?
wut
twisting nether is an epic, old spell
Sargeras is a new wave legendary.
why its OP when he is a demon? if U dont have the battlecry its does nothing
What does this card have to do with Malygos?
Wrong name... I changed it to Mal'Ganis
Yes I did... That doesn't seem like it would be only those two abilities that can access the twisting nether. If nothing else, there needs to be something that would bring other demons from this location in other yet to be revealed cards.
What I'm hoping is that blizzard decided to make any demon summoned will get this bonus, but that is asking WAY too much. Thus the reason why I am wondering what other ways to get demons from twisting nether to be summoned to make use of the Legion Invasion! ability
So. What I get about the effect is that you need to play this card, from your hand to summon The Nether Portal and the "Twisting Nether" is the imaginary zone behind the portal. So if the Battlecry dosn't trigger, Sargeras dosn't has abilities.
So is a bomb when it hits the board, but you can't cheat it, and for the same reason you can't play it in a "Big Demons" deck.
Is pretty crazy compared with Gigafin, which is already a pretty strong Warlock card. Tho I wonder if works with Lakkari Sacrifice cause it looks like both portals are going to be the same card.
Oh.. so warlock wasnt doing great, so they gave it a card that will just straight up win when played. Neat. This will be nerfed. its stupidly OP.
Alright well this is brain dead. Guess I'll skip this expansion. The design for the game going forward seems to be "give every class a titan and lets have the entire game be determined by how you use your titan." Gonna be really fun when your opponent gets this on turn 5 with voidcaller and then picks the option where you summon 2 3/4 taunts every turn for the rest of the game. You don't even need to cheat this out either. Almost every control warlock deck runs Gigafin in this powercrept meta. This is a 6/12, summons 2 minions which will probably get taunt (because how is your opponent going to remove a 6/12 from an empty board?) and clears the board and you the opponent doesn't have the ability to kill the other murloc to get their minions back.
The portal effect is a Battlecry effect, so it won't be possible to trigger it via Voidcaller.
See you on release
Alright well this comment is braindead. Portal doesn't get opened if summon off of Voidcaller.
Classic case of noise on the forums that Blizz is right to ignore.
please for the sake of not posting such dumb comments, READ the card first, then THINK about it and THEN write something.
ok SORRY. It's only a 6/5 card and not a 7/5 card. You can still voidcaller it out and summon 2 6 6s and a 6/12 on turn 5. Regardless, it will still be in every single warlock deck and it will be extremely frustrating every time you play against it. And it creates no interesting deckbuilding decisions. You just put it in control warlock and replace it with the lowest win % card.
You can tutor it out with Symphony of Sins and play it turn 6 with its full effect as well.
Nope, this is still wrong. none of the abilities work without the battlecry. Using voidcaller on this is terrible, and voidcaller will probably have to be removed from warlock decks in order to use this.
I'm guessing the twisting nether will act as an off-board space like a graveyard than minions can sent into or pulled out of, maybe with other cards that interact with it too. Which has already been predicted on cutom hearthstone a long time ago; https://www.reddit.com/r/customhearthstone/comments/3ynmju/a_twist_on_the_twisting_nether/
The portal summoned is apparently called 'the twisting nether' though, so if you NEED the portal to use sargeras effects then you can't cheat him out which would suck. But I think it's more likely that isn't the case.
Edit: well, turns out is does work that way. Much less interesting https://twitter.com/MyntyPhresh/status/1676977081845153792
it having the demon tribal is the scariest thing about it.
I also think the unique wording suggests warlocks will be getting more cards that interact with "the twisting nether"
They make legendaries that support archetypes (e.g, volatile skeletons and kelthuzad) but since sargeras is the one that summons the portal himself, you'd NEED him for the archetype to work, and in the past they've been against printing cards that straight up don't work without a specific legendary like that.
The exception is if that legendary is free like the original C'thun was, and they haven't told us that about Sargeras yet if he is.
the portal isnt the twisting nether activator its just an imp portal. the nether is just going to be a new exile mechanic for warlock that this card works with.
No, they already confirmed that it's just a Sargeras thing and the effects do nothing without the portal; https://twitter.com/MyntyPhresh/status/1676977081845153792
