    face hunter works because it can be consistently aggressive. the only single face hunter card that could be nerfed without killing the deck but actually nerfing it would be knife juggler as it is always a threat and combos with all of the other low cost minions.

    next: a Hemet Nesingwary deserving of the name (just do the lore justice)

    Next: a better Wailing Soul (keep the theme though) (should still only target friendly minions which is the theme of the card)(it needs at least equivalent stats unless its effect is overpowered nothing involving silence is OP including Mass Dispel)

    Explanation for the mechanic.

    before the player draws Dr. Maljin triggers and selects a card from their hand. If the cards mana cost is to high or the conditions to trigger it  are not met it is automatically discarded and your Hero says "NO! It has good memories!" to which Dr. Maljin says "I deleted it" (1:27 to 1:29). if both the cards mana cost and triggers are active then Dr. Maljin says "the first step to getting better is to decide what items you don't really need" (0:59 to 1:05) and then like with the druid Choose mechanic (or the Discover/Tracking/Shaman's improved Hero Power(that Justicar gives them), but with fewer cards) two card appear on the screen. the one on the left is a copy of the card you discarded and clicking on it will bring you to the tageting menu if it is a spell or minion with a battlecry (if the player chooses an invalid target then it returns to the original choose portion instead of returning the card to your hand like usual) your hero says "NO! pick something else." to which Dr. Maljin says "Alright" (1:15 to 1:16).  if you choose to discard then your Hero says "NO! It has good memories!" to which Dr. Maljin says "I deleted it" (1:27 to 1:29).

    lore

    The character was supposed to help people get rid of all the useless items that they don't need. to do this he causes both players to discard a card at the start of every turn; however if there was no way to interact with this then Blizzard would never use it. therefor if the player could have used they are given a chance to, but in certain cases this could ruin a combo (Savage roaring before casting Force of Nature). The idea is that if you can use you get to do so, but if you don't want to pay the mana cost or risk its effect then just get rid of it (i.e. turn 5 and picks a 2-drop in your hand is a 4-drop, a 5-drop, and a 7-drop and you are Shaman, if you play it then all you can do is totem and pass , but if you discard then you can play the 5-drop instead). will work to kill any super combos and preserve the meta if Blizz ever makes anything like FoN & SR for other classes.

    Now, why do i feel this effect could be interesting?  Simply put, you have a lot of different layers to this.  you can have some insanely powerful or creative effects but at the price of potentially not being able to use them just because you dont already have a weapon equipped but because of that limitation, when you do play it down, it could be a game changer or atleast give a different game plan then one would have expected.  granted, this could easily be changed to "make weapon with battlecries" but i feel that would be less interesting.

     

    I am a little confused on how you intend for Overlay to work. Using Rogue for example, if you had a Wicked Knife (the weapon that Rogue Hero Power spawns) out and then played Sadist's Dagger what would happen?

    1) you have a 1/2 wicked knife with the ability: whenever your hero attacks, restore health equal to this weapons attack.

    2) you have a 2/3 Sadist's Dagger with the ability: whenever your hero attacks, restore health equal to this weapons attack.

    3) you have a 2/3 Sadist's Dagger with no ability.

    the next example would be you had an untriggered Sadist's Dagger and then played Wicked Knife out what would happen?

    1) you have a 2/3 Sadist's Dagger with the ability: whenever your hero attacks, restore health equal to this weapons attack.

    2) you have a 1/2 wicked knife with the ability: whenever your hero attacks, restore health equal to this weapons attack.

    3) you have a 1/2 wicked knife with no ability.

    the Just-Die-Already competition, where you need to submit a minion with 16 Deathrattles (the current maximum number of Deathrattles a card can possess). for ease of reading if you use 3 or more unique Deathrattles each Deathrattle should only be a single line of text and you are allowed to use a multiplication tag prefixing the Deathrattle such as: (4xDeathrattle: ...). the idea is based off of how Characters in many forms of media often get to ramble on for quite a long time before finally kicking the bucket.

    building off of Clord's idea (you most likely scolled past it being the one with Sans in it), I think an Undertale themed one would be awesome. the card must come with a lore justification and if the card represents a specific character it must be Legendary.

    some card ideas to give people a feel for it (though if these were actual submissions they would need to have a justification)

    feeding the trope where the bad guy has his soul is some vessel. therefor destroying the vessel is the only way for you to beat the bad guy. hence card text. it has 5 health so that it is out of flame strike range but not too much that it is unkillable

    this is a thread for cards that you and other people feel belong in hearthstone or would would be awesome if they actually ended up in the game.

    Posting Rules: 1) the card must agree with the lore -- that means it has to be involved with Warcraft, but can include references like Leroy Jenkins and other player created content; 2) the card must be balanced -- it can be OP but the deck that you would put it in is not currently viable; 3) provide some of your thoughts about why the card you posted is awesome or necessary; 4) should either be introducing or referencing a card idea.

    Commenting Rules: 1) no name calling -- I assume that you are responsible human beings; 2) no selling stuff; 3) be nice with your feedback -- you can be harsh but you need to be fair and thoughtful as well; 4) only comment about the card -- no horde vs. Alliance flame wars in this thread pls.
