Nineteen Naturalizes. Ten Coldlight Oracles. One Dirty Rat.

    Die.

My original thought was to keep the restrictions on how many of each card goes in a deck, so I guess the topic is a little misleading :P

But still... Who has 19 naturalizes in their collection? :D :D
Presumably if they lift the 2 cards (1 legendary) limit they would let you add as many as you want as long as you have a copy.
Otherwise that would defeat the purpose of that tavern brawl.

posted a message on Doomsayer should be buffed

Is this a troll thread? Doomsayer is insane as it is.

It's basically a neutral 0/7 taunt, which is the same as public defender which only warrior gets.

It's also somewhat of a gamble. If your opponent can remove it then you lose board control, otherwise you gain it.

You also can't complain about someone beating you with a nut draw. If i could choose what cards to draw I could beat you with any deck lol.

This is an aggro deck. You need to consider ignoring their minions and just going for face. I've ended many games by the 5th round with this deck. This isn't the typical dragon priest where you generally trade. I'm currently rank 5 and this deck is very competitive at this rank.

It also depends on who you're playing against. If you're going against pirate warrior then you always trade and make them run out of steam. If you're going against renolock you need to go face and hope they lack enough answers.

Shaman never left. Even the good ol' Midrange Shaman does ok this season.

I haven't seen much of that actually. It's almost all pirate shaman or nzoth shaman now.
I actually don't mind all the aggro decks, at least when you get shafted on the draw the suffering only lasts a few turns.
According to my decktracker, for my last 50 games they averaged 6 minutes / 9.3 turns, which seems around right since a ton of games are conceded on the 5th round or so

There were already more than 30% of shamans rank 5-1 a week ago :) The meta is changing so fast since 20 days. Pirate warriors -> Reno -> Miracle -> aggro shamans. And now it seems to be switching to "Counter the aggro shaman with control warrior or control shaman"! haha

I'm countering aggro shaman with aggro priest lol. Fight fire with fire!

Did you barely start playing today? This isn't new. Aggro shaman is tier 1.

Yesterday it was almost all pirate warriors..

I noticed today that there's a lack of warriors, about 40% of my matchups are against some type of shaman now. Though it's much less mid-range and more aggro.

Just woah! o.O What am i looking at here?! This is fucking stupid! So all you cry babies come here and cry about tier 2 deck geting one strong card that is conditional and unplayable in anithing else exept dragon priest. And yet you dont have any problem with other classes having bunch of OP cards that can be used in any tipe of deck in any tier? Realy? You know what your problem is? You all got butt hurt by priest after 2 years of sleep. This topic should be locked. Highly toxic and realy pathetic.

I would get mad too if someone stole my storm guardian and kicked my ass with it before i had a chance to even draw it. But that's how it goes sometimes lol.

It discovered from my deck 2 fucking Storm Guardian in a single match. It's so overpowered. Make it random, not discover.

Don't play white eyes against a dragon priest who has unused operatives then if you don't want your storm guardian stolen. (or accept the risk and stop complaining). I stole someone's golden monkey and ended the game with it before they ever had a chance to draw it. That happens sometimes if you play against a priest, I doubt they came on here and bitched about it.
This is kind of like complaining about playing into a flamestrike, it's not OP because you played 6 4 health minions prior to turn 7
    Quote from Ehronatha>>

It certainly is a very good value.  I see that they valued its discover as being worth one mana since they usually count the dragon requirement as a one mana disadvantage.  In other words, dragon requirement battlecry minions usually get one mana worth of bonus.  The major exception is Netherspite Historian, whose discover is counted as being better than one mana.  AS it turns out, being able to draft a card from your opponent's deck is a lot better than discovering a random card because the average quality of your opponent's cards is almost certainly higher than the average quality of any other general card pool.  They undercosted the Drakonid's discover ability.  It is so good that it would still see play on a 4/5 body.

Actually drafting a card from your opponent's deck is hugely hit or miss. Sure, if it's against a renolock you'll probably be able to draft a sick legendary. If it's against a jade druid you're going to have a choice of innervate, nourish, or a (useless to you) jade golem card. If I had the choice of discover a random dragon or discover a card in my opponent's deck I would choose the former.
Also historian is neutral, operative is a class card.
I actually play dragon priest so I can say from experience that for every time I get a sick legendary, I have another discover that gives me a near useless card.

    Quote from DKC03 >>

I recently changed up my Dragon Priest the same as you, out with Nertherspite and Bookwyrm and in with Faerie Dragon and Holy Smite. My win rate against Shamans (most common match up) skyrocketed and it made no significant difference to Warlock or Priest win rates. (Ranks 6 - 4 EU).

My most common matchups are pirate warriors, I'm def winning a lot more of those. Warlock/priest games are still a crapshoot, so nothing's changed there.
And my deck is just more consistent in general. With my old setup I was finding myself saying I'm getting shafted by the RNG for card draws waaaay too often. When it's happening all the time it's probably not the RNG, it's probably because your deck design is flawed. I'm having a lot less bum draws now that I shifted the mana curve towards the lower side.

posted a message on Netherspite historian sucks in this meta?
    Quote from Rusery >>

With Netherspite, you can usually get away with skipping out on a large threat and make room for something early on curve when using Netherspite. You're certainly right about not having answers early on and priest still isn't any good for getting insane value early which is why they usually lose the game by turn 5 and dragonfire potion conventiently sits at 6.

Right, I don't have any large threats in my deck anymore without netherspite, but in the current meta that seems to be OK. The majority of opponents are aggro decks and I don't need a large threat, I just need to hold out until they run out of steam.

As far as reno decks go, I usually lost to those anyway, I actually fare better now since I have more early threats and can play aggro priest against renolock and just hope their reno is in the bottom half of their deck.

This is actually great in the current meta. All those extra early game cards really helps you curve out against the 90% of decks that are aggro. The fact there's 10 dragons (my old deck had 9) is also a small bonus since it makes the holding a dragon activations slightly more reliable.

You need to play aggro too though. Without historians you will lose against other priests unless you rush their face and end the game quickly.

I'm using songstealers instead of holy champions though. The silence has a lot of value for neutralizing threats and for punching through big taunts.

In this meta you'll probably be playing against a pirate warrior/rogue, in which case you need to summon, or you will quickly be looking at a board that you won't be coming back from.

posted a message on Netherspite historian sucks in this meta?

I've noticed that playing a 2 mana 1/3 body in this meta is a huge tempo loss (where so many games are decided by the 5th round), and a lot of times the game will slip away before you even have a chance to play the card you gained from playing historian. Same goes for book wyrm, something that has so much value but if you draw it early by the time you can play it you would've lost due to lacking answers earlier on.

You almost never see a dragon priest WITHOUT netherspite, but I replaced mine today (along with some other late game cards) with faerie dragon and holy smites and I'm finding that I'm running into a lot less situations where I lack answers against aggro decks.

I'm currently playing ~ rank 10 - 5, where virtually everyone is playing pirate warrior/rogue

One quibble with OP's point about Mulch being only Druid removal - what about Naturalize?

I can't actually remember the last time someone played Mulch against me

I've had mulch played against me once in maybe 100 druid games, and I'm pretty sure he got it from a discover. Nobody runs mulch/naturalize in their decks. At least not in the current meta of jade druids.
