It worked as intended. Equality changed every minions health to 1. The war leader was buffing the the bluegill's health +1. So the bluegill had 2 hp. When the pyro effect triggered, it only dealt one damage to the bluegill, leaving it at 1 hp.
If your opponent had had any other murlocs, they would have survived as well.
So I found this picture on the hearthstone main website, and it doesn't look like any card I know, does this mean Un'goro is confirmed as the next expansion?
I tried some good old mech mage in the wild ladder, but it wasn't working out. For some reason Cogmaster feels way to weak when compared to Small-Time Buccaneer, when the two cards have basically the same effect, (I would even argue cogmaster's effect is even easier to trigger, because you almost always have a turn 2 mech).
My question here is, how can a 1 1 charge minion (Patches the Pirate) cause such a big difference in the power level of these 2 cards?
The only two golden legendaries Ive opened were two golden yoggs, and the second one was during the nerf, so I got 4800 dust in total from there, I would say that was some good value

Is unleash the hounds that necessary? I usually find it to be really weak compared to other 3 drops.

Try mage instead of warrior, easy turn 6 lethal
