Yes but the key is to Good deck building in Wild you need to give yourself a good defense to all the Aggro such as Secret Mage and Pirate Warrior I would add at least a few secrets of your own then get the Deathrattle shenanigans going

For2rest posted a message on Is wild (big) deathrattle hunter still viable?Posted in: General DiscussionIt's not anywhere close to the most powerful deck in the format, but it's powerful enough to maintain a winning ratio and climb talktowendys.

TheHiddenNinja posted a message on Is wild (big) deathrattle hunter still viable?Posted in: General DiscussionI went from gold 5 to diamond 10 in wild the past few days with about a 75% W/R (felt like it, at least) using Murloc Shaman.
The Meta was not ready for the power of the tides.

SlydE posted a message on Is wild (big) deathrattle hunter still viable?Posted in: General DiscussionI was thinking if a new version abusing the synergies from the latest expansion could be viable. Between Toxic Reinforcements, Teron Gorefiend, Feign Death and maybe Spiritsinger Umbra, there should be some nice combo potential for a lot of face damage!

SelkieSlam posted a message on Is wild (big) deathrattle hunter still viable?Posted in: General DiscussionEgg Hunter isn't really a meta-deck, so there are as many different builds as there are pilots. Anyone interested in the deck should probably check out Duwin's lists - he's the top Hunter pilot in Wild, and has spent most of his time post-expansion running a bunch of different Egg lists.
Here's a link to his most recent tweet, and three of his builds -
FWIW - I prefer the more aggressive lists, and ended up experimenting with Fungalmancer, as Cube proved too slow against other fast decks during my climb. The deck has a very favourable match-up against Mage - I'm not sure why the other fellow was suggesting the match-up was "auto-lose". In general, any deck in Wild that can consistently do stupid shit before turn six is going to be viable, and capable of hitting Legend in the hands of a half-decent player. The more aggressive Egg Hunter lists can certainly do lots of stupid shit in the early- to mid-game. No site tracks the format well enough to offer any great data on Wild tiers, but my guess is that fast Egg decks are Tier two-ish, and the slower decks are Tier three-ish.

DInoStram posted a message on Is wild (big) deathrattle hunter still viable?Posted in: General DiscussionI've been playing my own version of deathrattle hunter with medium result. The biggest problem with the deck is aggro, but if you get a good draw you still have a change.
It's really fun and can got out of control real quick if the opponent don't remove your minions

elnur0000 posted a message on Is wild (big) deathrattle hunter still viable?Posted in: General DiscussionI've seen some pretty nice decks out there, the only problem is that i've also seen people talking about it as not being as good as it was before. I just wanted to ask if I should still craft it, as I'm diamond 5 right now, and want to push forward. Also, weird question, but how do you think it would do vs a standard deck (diamond 10 and below)?
Here is an example of the deck i am talking about :

Do you think the second one is better?

Last 2 questions don't matter as much as the first.
what does "viable" mean, you mean if you can make it to legend with it ?
decks you will face in your path :
secret mage - auto lose
quest mage - auto lose in most cases
reno priest - auto lose
cube lock - auto lose
mech pally - auto lose
even shaman - devolve fucks it up else you might beat it
jade druid - you might have a some chance
odd demon hunter - really hard to keep up with amount of face damage they deal, but dunno about this matchup
here you go

Kurgo posted a message on Is wild (big) deathrattle hunter still viable?Posted in: General DiscussionNot "big", no, there are a couple of versions of egg (or just deathrattle) hunter
Eggs, albatross and Sylvanas:

It has a good enough wr but of course it depends on a variety of things, such as your mmr-the ranks you're playing at/against. You can certainly climb using it but it obviously doesn't have the best odds against tier 1 or 2 decks. Hunter is generally a poor class to climb with, it's fairly weak in wild.

dejanx13 posted a message on Is wild (big) deathrattle hunter still viable?Posted in: General DiscussionI have seen a few deathrattle hunters in high ranks but if you want to get to legend it will give you some hard time if you even get there. So I don't recommend spending too much dust on it.

Geoff posted a message on Petition to buff the mighty RagnarosPosted in: Card DiscussionNot gonna defend DH, but Rag is a hard removal and a lethal possibility at the same time. People saying that Priestess is better, because it can clear boards are simply biased. Yeah, Priestes can clear few smaller minions. But what if they have two of moderate size? It will just do some damage to both and that's all. Rag would actually (probably) kill at least one. Rag can win you gave through taunts and full boards, without a need to sticking anything on board.
Don't you remember all these crazy lethals and removals Rag accumulated thorough years? Priestess will most likely never have her own compilations. That's pretty much because she's unreliable. You say Rag was random? Priestess is even less predictable. It shines only in three scenarios:
1) vs. a board of very small (low health) minions
2) on an empty board
3) vs. just one moderately sized minion (3-4 health and nothing guaranteed).
Rag was crippled only by boards full of small minions. Drop it in any other scenario and it's either better or similarly good as Priestess.
