Suddently it costs double the dust, the game crashes when you play your combo not to mention the fps drops.

nocontrol1111 posted a message on Conspiracy Theory: They nerfed Rockbiter Weapon instead of Doomhammer so that we wouldn't get the dust from DoomhammerPosted in: Card DiscussionQuote from RumblingDumpling >>Quote from RumblingDumpling >>Quote from RumblingDumpling >>Quote from Viper22855 >>Each pack you open gives you 40 dust.
That's 10 packs.
Each pack gives you an average of more than 100 dust. Including epics, legendaries, and double rares etc...And btw: if they were really don't want give players dust, they would move yogg to wild. With the nerf - which did't changed the text - they give 1600 / 3200 dust to all players...No, average pack is 40 dust as you usually get 4 commons 1 rareThe minimum pack value is 40 dust. Average, by definition, must be above the minimum. Not completely true, as this only true provided that you have same distribution and statistics for all tiers, and as you can see, 40 dust is the most common pack, I don't know the exact statistics, but it is sure above 50%. While it is true that it is a minimum, if you take into average all pack outcomes, what you are left is roughly 40 dust.In math, the most common value represented in a sample is called the mode, not the average. It is statistically impossible for the minimum value to be the average in a sample if more than one value exists. So what I said is completely true, and I don't think we will have a constructive argument if we take this any further. Have a good day. What I was trying to say is that if you take all pack values and divide it by number of packs opened, what you get is a number very close to 40, but since the second least value from pack is 55, you get that average pack is worth 40 dust. I agree that there might be misunderstanding of terminology. And also, there is one special case where average is equal to least number in a sample, that is when all elements in a sample are the same (obviously this is not the case with packs)Did you read this link that someone who replied to you posted http://hearthstone.gamepedia.com/Card_pack_statistics#Expected_dust_valueSeriously, you need to stop. You're just making yourself look worse and worse. -

iandakar posted a message on Stop nerfing cards! Ban problem cards from tournament or move to Wild insteadPosted in: General DiscussionThere's probably a few things affecting the way blizzard is handling things:
1. The evergreen set. Note that the primary purpose to most of these changes are to deal with the overuse of Classic cards. The idea is to fight against decks and playstyles that remain in the game forever no matter what you do with it (execute) and/or make sure that classic cards don't get in the way of expansion design (charge). Note that they WERE thinking about messing with Trogg and Golem but decided not to since they will go to Wild.
Thus the issue is that we have cards that will NEVER go away and Blizzard isn't really sure how to balance that with formats (that's not speculation. They admit as much). They can't use other card games since others either never have an evergreen set (MTG) or everything stays put and they just go Power Creep all day (YGO). This is..newer territory.
I'm guesing the gameplan is to make Classic just good enough to establish an identity to the class but NOT good enough to estalish a strong deck with it. You pick classic cards to form your basic foundation and expansions for your power and goal. They also seem to be toying with the idea that EVERY classic card will not be an 'autoinclude'. If that's true then expect a TON more hits in the future to cards like Win Axe and backstab.
As to the two non-standard cards:
Tuskarr: go speak to anyone in the pro scene. For every person here who demanded a ban, 5+ pro players were demanding exactly the change that happened here. They wanted Tusky to exist.. many don't even deem him as overall OP. They just hated how RNG swingy he was and how he could randomly go from an effective 3/4 with an ability to instead a 6/6 at turn 3 or a 3/5 that draws cards. Blizzard was probably listening to them with this change.
As for Yogg, Blizzard wanted him in standard and wanted to keep him as a 'Trolden' card. Trolden cards are supposed to be like Lorewalker Cho: you play him for fun and silly games, not for competitions. Thus why a Trolden card in Blizzcon could not be a thing that happens.
As to the matter of bans, they've declared their fear of this one: pandora's box. Ban one card and suddenly people will DEMAND constantly for X and Y card to be banned rather than wanting to see if the card is really a problem (remember when C'thun was villified and Warden was feared?) or if the card could be balanced. They'd rather deal with cards head on rather than hide behind a ban list.
There's also the problem that banning in tournaments only affects .01% of the population. For the rest of us, we play Ranked and still have ot see all of the cards every day.
Thus they didn't Wild him because many people want to keep playing with him because they like him. They couldn't ban because it opens a nasty hornets nest they'd rather not deal with and it would do nothing for almost all of their playerbase who still have to deal with him. And they felt they found a change that makes him still a Trolden card but NOT a competitive card.
Did they succeed? We'll see. But that's their reasoning.

BarnacleEd posted a message on What will Hearthstone be like in the next RotationPosted in: Standard FormatQuote from lhombrecalcetin >>I know that kind of mentality is wrong, but it seems that this is the path the dev team chose and won't change it in the foreseeable future, besides Shaman deserves no love for the next expansion to counter balance the insane support it has received and let other classes catch up.As a sidenote, I believe Priest will never ever be a top tier class just because of how the class was designed since the beginning. It will always be doomed to be a reactive, anti meta class (imagine a meta controlled by Priest, just about the most boring thing this game can ever have).I think you have a valid point about the path the dev team is taking, unfortunately. I somewhat disagree with Priest - although the class is clearly designed with reactive plays in mind, I don't think it would take too many additional tools to make an aggro or burn priest viable. However, the big question is "will Blizz add said tools?" and I think we can both agree the answer to that is most likely a no :/ -

Midrange Paladin is a true nightmare for Quest Warriors. I spawn so much Silver Hand Recruits that their Hero Power becomes negligible. Plus you have Sunkeeper Tarim, double Equality, you can adapt your Recruits into Poisonous or even Discover a Repentance or Eye for an Eye from Hydrologist which are both game winning against them.

Halfway thru BRM going into TGT, I still remember fondly those legendary Midrange Paladin vs. Control/Patron Warrior. Most fun I've ever had playing this game.

You could say that this Brawl truly deserves a 5 for Awesomeness due to the kind of plays you can make butthe rest is just absolutely terrible. You could easily go 10 games without getting your first win in this god awful brawl (thankfully I got it on my third try).

47 packs with gold plus the 5 bonus packs we got these past weeks for a total of 52 packs.
I got 9 legendaries and 2 golden legendary for opening 70 MSoG packs...so I think I burned a little of my good RNG for these packs haha. Luckily I'll have around 12,000 dust thanks to the whole Hall of Fame thing so maybe I'm set.
