So i just faced taunt warrior.. like nothing bad i m fine with that deck, but player was absolute retard who kept curving perfectly and spamming emotes..

Like.. why cant there just be auto mute emotes + remove hero flickering effect? why is it so hard for blizzard to do that? i dont just get it..

Because right clicking to squelch takes a lot of work.

Nah dude, I am one of those who will congratulate the pirate warrior who achieved legend and it's not because I don't blaspheme against the game. The game has flaws alright, such that some decks that require less thinking are unfairly more efficent than those that require more thought. But I dont wanna put down the guy who achieved legend for the first time because of my own personal dissatisfaction with the game, which the dude didn't design btw. If the fella is toxic then it's a different story but if he's just happy that he reached legend then let him be happy. It's not his fault the deck archetype exists. Putting down someone for personal selfish reasons just seems so...pathetic.

No one should be congratulated for reaching legend, no one, simply because it takes absolutely zero skill do to so. All you need is a facedeck and enough time. Done.
If it requires no skills then every single HS player should be legend right? Just because people play face aggro doesn't automatically mean that they jam face every turn.
I don't see an issue with either a player celebrating or being congratulated for a game achievement. Neither has anything to with me or my experience with the game.  If i was on a casino floor in Vegas and some old lady sitting next to me hit the slots for a few hundred bucks, I would congratulate her and she'd probably be cheering. Nothing to do with skill, just some luck and time spent. I would, on the other hand, continue to feed the machine and bitch about the bad RNG, lol!

Yes, RNG is a part of the game, just like in every card game. But the game does require some skill to play or else everyone would be on the same level.

posted a message on Looking for Hearthstone friends? Post your BattleTag Here 2.0

    Battletag: Whisperwood#1954

    Region: US
Usual Play Times: Central Time - 3 PM - Midnight on weekdays. Weekends - all day (if I'm home)
    Level of Experience: Advanced
    Preferred Heroes: Priest, Druid, Mage/Paladin
I’m Looking For: Friends, Coaching, Teaching - Anything really, just looking for more friends to have fun with.
Tell us something about you: Been playing since closed beta but never committed a lot of time into it. I don't push in standard, I usually just get rank 20 and call it a day unless it's an expansion. I did hit Legend for the first time this season (Aug 2017). Might have been the 3rd attempt I pushed for legend ever since I started playing. I don't mind helping players get better or receiving help from other players. Unfiltered sense of humor so don't be a sensitive person. I like to spectate friends a lot as well. I also like to create random decks and try to make them work.

    The sodium level is high.

People who say silly things like that are usually the ones who bang their head off their keyboard when losing ... [/Kappa]

Pfffffttttt. I just punch holes in my walls. More stress relief.

You guys act like he dropped it all at once...it's not that hard to invest 500 bucks a month into something. It's called having a J-O-B, let me repeat that a J-O-B.

I know it has to be above 50% since reaching rank 5. Dropped out of 5 once and climbed to 4 when I did. But then fell again.

What deck r running? How many times have u reached rank 5 in the past? How long have u been playing?

Playing oil rogue, my win rate is 58-60ish. I would 5 star rank 4and fall to 1 star rank 5. I've hit rank 5 a few times. Ive been playing for a bit now but cant log long sessions due to IRL but play as much when I can.

if it was really continuously 58%-60% you would already be Legend (probably even high ranks there) ... so another hint:

    4. Get more realistic and track your actual winrate with a programm or just pen and paper would be a good idea!!! (Winrate per Class, as you want to know what you're good at and what you suck at)

I do track my win/losses and its around that %. Been keeping track since rank 12. I'll keep a new track for here on out.

The reason probably is simple math: Given enough games you a decet player always gets to rank 5, as the winstreak rule takes away the necessity of winning more than 50 % of the games. In a hypothetical endless Hearthstone season without new players, every Player would eventually get to rank 5 due to this very rule ...

So, from 5 onwards, things get trickier, you need a winrate of above 50% against a pretty decent playerbase (because seasons are not endless ;) and only players with a decent understanding of the game get to 5). So, to an "answer": You probably need to work on many small things - Better "plays", better understanding of the meta and a deck built accordingly ... or maybe you get angry to often ... To figure these small things out, additional information could be necessary:

    1. Do you missplay a lot? If you say "no" - ironically- you probably do, A LOT! Realizing those missplays and thinking about the moves that cost you the game is one important step to getting better!

    2. What deck are you playing and why?

    3. Do you feel like tilting or getting nervous once you approach higher ranks?

    1. Of course I misplay but more often I am able to make the right moves. When I do, I am able to reflect back and see what I did or didn't do.

    2. Oil rogue thus season, played too much druid and pally the previous seasons and feel like thus deck has been doing well for me.

    3. Once I do feel tilted or nervous I usually take like a 10 min break and get back into it. Sometimes I would go on a nice 6-8 win streak then fall 6-8 in a row while taking a breather in between a few losses.
