at 8 wins in arena get 2 games where opponent is at 1 life... top deck game winner then after that had lethal and got top decked.... THEN next fresh arena run very first game get top decked savage roar against a druid (he did have legend cardback so I didn't feel terrible about a beat at 0 wins but still just a ridiculous streak of top decking loses)
I think a bunch of new achievements with unique rewards would be huge for the game too after seeing all the suggests. Brings a whole new interest and focus for people.
I think most likely next up will be another adventure expansion just like Naxx.
However I'd love Blizz to show us arena players a bit more love and add:
Arena ranking of some form
The ability to re pick 2-3 arena choices or skip a set of 3 terrible cards
Arena legend mode - 12 win decks v other 12 win decks after a run (I'd love to see how some of my 12-0 decks might have fared against others)
Also a big thing for hearthstone could be achievements - kinda like the ones u get for xbox games. Examples of the tough ones might be 'complete 10 12-0 arena runs', 'top 100 legend', 'complete gold deck', 'all warrior standard cards collected', 'win 0/15 games with 2 angry chicken in your deck,
love the idea of making arena more relevant as theres a pretty big amount of plays who prefer arena over ladder
What do you guys think will be Hearthstones next big change? A new adventure like naxx? A smaller expansion in comparison to GVG? Another full size expansion? Or addition of new playmodes? (IE 2v2) Seems as if they want to do something big every 6 months bare minimum so I would imagine some hints or snippets of what's to come should be rolling out real soon.
I think a new adventure will be coming next but I would love to see some playmodes brought out or even tournament modes put into the game now that spectating has been added.
If you have no desire to play a demonlock or handlock then I would DE. Especially if you have some specific epics that you need to complete a competitive deck/decks you enjoy.
Or hang onto it and pray that blizz makes a change to the card at some point. (then reap the massive dust you would get from DEing at that point)
Love Heartharena, by far the best tool out there for arena. If you really want to see it utilized really well you should follow them on twitch doing arena runs. You'll learn a ton from it about arena and about the tool that was created. Pretty much every arena run I've done now I achieve 1-3 more wins than I would have originally overall based on the deck I get, just from having watched them stream a few times and utilizing heatharena for the 50 50 cards I was never quite confident choosing between.
While it's a good card i completely disagree on the nerf part, the argument you're making is one that could have been made or sylvanas or caire pre GVG. The only decks not running those cards were aggro decks, same situation with Dr Boom now. He actually fills a much needed roll as a good 7 drop that was missing pre GVG for control and tempo decks. Druid was the only class with solid 7 drops being ancient of lore and war. If you look at GVG they filled 7 slots up pretty heavily. It's just Dr Boom is a neutral that works for everyone which is why you see so much of it.
I honestly have not seen any statistics on this but it is much easier to get all of the uncommon and rare cards that are crucial for most decks from the GVG packs than the original expert packs. That being said their are key cards from each you need to build decks that ladder consistently well. Being put in your position I would likely buy GVG cards till I was able to get all of the rares and uncommons needed then switch back over to normal for a bit (so many legendaries that are still very vital and good in most decks right now as to where GVG has 1 universal great legendary in DR Boom) and craft any in betweens. Just my opinion, im sure their are statistics out there somewhere breaking down which buy has more value vs where your collection is.

By far the best deck I've used for this encounter. Just have to focus on removal, not wasting cards, and armoring up. Great job man!

Does this earn an achievement for first?

Correct, not expected to happen and thankfully did not happen any sooner or I would have been in big trouble lol

Having 6 Kel Thuzads on board clearly deserves some sort of achievement
