1. Its not a 100% concentration game, i can type in whatsapp, use twitter, move around the house... Thats really important for me, hate to stick 1 hour to the chair 100% in like un league.
2. Lot of games are way toó hard, even if u play 1098983 hours u wont become good at all, in hs you can fully understand the game, the meta and playa it at top lvl withouth having to be a genius
3. I personally enjoy control decks and i usually use the versión that profesional players use, nota much into meme decks
4. Its familiar to me. Been playing since the launch, its kinda warm to play something that ive been into for so long
Both of you must be new to the game or have the old meta really idealized. Because you know, old team 5 was much better, not nerfing until half of the community left the game, not communicating, releasing crappy expansions with 3/4 cards beign filler with no text... yay, miss those guys because BB was funny. And about the RNG back then
- Knife Juggler/Fire Juggler
- Blastmage
- Ragnaros/Sylvanas
- Flamewaker
- Yog Saron
- Joust
- Shredders
- Discover with the mage spell that discounted 2 mana
Those RNG mechanics were WAY worse than the actual ones because they were consistent with a small sample of things that could happen, mostly resulting in a 50/50 win or lose every single time.
I was gonna answer the rest of the thread, but u are just a salty bad player, so nothing else to say. This is one of the best expansions that we had by far, ask anyone with a little experience with the game. If u dont like the new mechanics okay, but just one thing: Aggro before was face oriented, so they had to run out of steam easier. Now they are more board centric, so they cant run out of steam as easy, thats why twinspell exists; overcosted cards that can repeat it effects so u can draw other cards while u generate value. But if u prefer we can go back face hunter that runned out of steam by turn 5 and either killed u or surrender. Yeah, much better.
Hey guys, I've been playing this game since vanilla HS, left during the Baku and Genn expansions (really hate those guys, not only because they were broken, but because they were BORING) and returned to the game even tho I was skeptical with this expansion. I just wanted to talk with yall about what I think, so here are my ideas:
General impression
This expansion is GREAT. For me, the best game periods were vanilla hearthstone, league of explorers release and Un'Goro. Now I would even put this expansion instead of League because of how much deck fun, variety, and archetypes we have. I also feel that the decks need much more skill to pilot and less RNG/coin flip matchups
Druid
Every expansion has its own S tier deck, this expansion is Token Druid. I don't feel that this deck is as broken as the broken decks that we experienced in the past, but tbh I think that they should have some weak points. With twin spell and the discover card most of the time they don't even need to draw, and they can buff massively the board. But ill talk about what for me is the really problematic card later.
Hunter
Amazing, one of the times that I feel hunter to be more balanced. Spell Hunter is a ton of fun and robot hunter too. Really consistent nontoxic decks with interactivity and counterplay with unique gameplay and no overall OPness
Paladin
So sad that healadin is not a thing, I was excited with the dragon legendary. Control paladin in vanilla and murloc midrange were my favorite decks back then (next to control warrior, miracle and priest). Overall I find secret paladin to be kinda weak, but the immortal deck is a TON of fun. Not the best but better than being toxic (as aggro paladin tend to be).
Priest
Probably the worst class this expansion. I heard that people really hated big priest, so I guess none of u wants it back. Overall I don't feel like they have much win conditions or control tools. I'm sure next expansions will build up with this base to a healthier rez priest.
Rogue
Fucking love rogue. The lackeys are really fun and they soon start to give u crazy cards from your opponent class while u keep the tempo up without the classic face rush in one turn from rogue. The legendary are bonkers and overall really happy with this cheesy tempo playstyle balanced by its own RNG.
Warlock
Plot Twist doesn't seem to work, such a shame. Then u have zoo with the flying carpet. Not much to say, i preffer 1209109809 times to play against zoo than against a crappy face deck.
Shaman
Muck shaman is the control shaman wet dream that i haved so much time, amazing deck with crazy highrolls. Murloc shaman pretty great too, can snowball pretty hard and finally we have a cool set of murlocs with sinergys appart from discounting or giving more stats.
Warrior
Tbh, i dont see bomb warrior as a problem, is a deck that is easily countered by control decks with any kind of healing or armor generation and that get steamrolled by tempo or aggro; i think it is going to get reaaaaaally outclassed as time goes on. But control warrior... OMG I CAN PLAY A REAL CONTROL WARRIOR AGAIN OMG NOT A SHITTY BAKU/GENN ONE, A REAL CW WITH NO INFINITE GENERATION JADE GOLEMS OR CRAP LIKE THAT IM SO HAPPYYYYYYYY
Mage
Spell mage, my god, so cool to see that deck, that kind of cheesy tempo... really enjoy it, is not an aggro deck, is like a real sinergistic archetype. Oh, and medivh mage with gyants... man, for me this is like christmas with so many wished aschetypes
Nerfs
Ive seen enough metas to know that broken cards will continue to be broken, so heres my nerf propositions as the game stale even more
Soul of the forest: 5/6 mana
I feel that the main problem with this deck is that they have way too much resources and the early game, where u could stabilize to prepare for the strong turns, they just soul of the forst, and against a deck that can burst u with only 3 cards, having a reliable way to secure table in such an early turn is really strong, because there are no real counterplay because as soon as u kill the board, treats come back and savage roar u.
Doctor Boom Mad Genious: Delivery Drone gives 1 random mech. 5 armor instead of 7
The hero is way too safe. With 5 mana u standardize it and dont have such a strong shield slam. The drone for control match ups, just a value source, not an insta win like the rexxar dk. There's enough with omega assembly generation
Heistbaron Toggwaggle: Gives 1 random amazing treasure:
Being able to always play the 2 legendaries spell is way too strong against most midrange/aggro decks, theres no way for them to come against such an strong effect obtained reliably. Random is less relliable.
Flying Carpet: 1/5 stats
You might not see a lot of zoo now, but trust me, this card is going to be really oppresive and design limiting. How do u remove a 1/6 at turn 3? For me it should be a little more stat balanced for such an strong board impact
Even shaman plays as aggro with double fire elemental, kalymos, agatha, arcane dynamo... wow. And mech paly obviously a midrange one. So 2 midrange and 2 aggro. Then tier 2 (that is almost the same). Even Watrlock (Midrange/Control) Token Shaman (Aggro) Big Druid (Control) Bomb Hunter (Midrange) Big Mage (Control). Yall have no idea of what you are talking about, complaining with no stats in hand
No, the stats start at the start of the expansion. And dont even matter if they arent optimiezed. How do u optimize malygos druid that has been the top 1 deck before the expansion? When even the most competitive one is the fatigue one. Maybe the metagame shifts, but not in the combo style. Priest one sucks reaaally hard, malygos druid is outclased by the mill one and the list go on.
Honestly, I don't think I would've disenchanted everything for golden meme legendaries, who knows, maybe some day you would feel like you want to play HS again.
LMFAO.. this guy will be back in 3-4 months tops, I've seen these quitters before.
That's the point. I don't want to play again, even if I want to. When I started playing i wasn't a student and i had plenty of money to expend, but now that i started university the few money that i have is for books and food. And i don't stand the f2p experience, and specially the Hearthstone one
Well guys, time to move on. 5700 wins in ranked. 1000 in arena. Not mad at Hearthstone, don't regret the amount of time at all, but I feel like it's taking me away from writing and other things that at the long-term end up being more productive and fulfilling for me. Hope you all have fun.
gimme all your goldens before you leave
Disenchanted them and turned into meme legendaries
Well guys, time to move on. 4 years. 5700 wins in ranked. 1000 in arena. Dusted all my collection and turned it into meme legendaries. Not mad at Hearthstone, don't regret the amount of time at all, but I feel like it's taking me away from writing and other things that at the long-term end up being more productive and fulfilling for me. Hope you all have fun.
Might seem a little extreme, but for me, this is the only way to really leave Hearthstone.
No. Wild is awful. So happy to not see Shredder or Boom anymore
Typical answer from someone who doesn't play wild. There's very little Dr. Booms or Shreeders, but you can say what you want if that makes you happy, because you know, facing 9/10 games druids is much better
This is the moment. It's all come to this. We must finally get Muradin as a Legendary. You know, Arthas, The Lich King, Northrend... for anybody who played Warcraft 3 he's going to be familiar with it, so I hope we finally get him

Dude, literally, every top deck atm (except spell hunter) that is performing well is midrange. And every combo deck sucks.
Tier 1:
- Odd Rogue (58% WR)
- Odd Mech Paladin (58% WR)
- Even Shaman (58% WR)
- Zoo (58% WR)
Tier 2:
- Spell Hunter
- Even Warlock
- Toke Shaman
- Big Druid
- Bomb Hunter
- Big Mage
https://hsreplay.net/meta/
Every single Combo deck is below 50% WR
