    These are new unobtainable cards just for Tavern Brawl. This revelation makes me even more excited about the mode as we could get to play around with brand new card mechanics, it's also a good way for Blizzard to get some cards play-tested.

    Gold hero power is why I did. I didn't care about the animated portrait in the slightest. 

    Hero power is animated by default too I believe.

    Skarr has a simple Block mechanic that has a chance to prevent damage from minion attacks. Annoying to deal with due to him being out off fireball range but he doesn't deal much damage.

    posted a message on Next expansion in July?

    Damn that is soon, I hope there's no gimmicks to the card set this time like RNG in GVG. I would love to see a dungeon inspired expansion with all the bosses and monsters we loved from Vanilla WoW.

    I would also love to see a proper achievements system added that would work similar to the one in WoW that way people have more to do and could fool around with fun decks while getting rewarded.

    hey all, seems like a decent sized community here so I decided to start a thread and share more custom Hearthstone card concepts with you all. I appreciate any constructive feedback or comments.

    Starting with my newest card, Shadikith the Glider:

    Battlecry removal is an interesting concept, this would be best played early while your opponent's hand is more full, it would be terrible against Warlock.

    Mr. Smite:

    Weapons:

    Great pirate synergy for warrior! Cruel Taskmaster and trading will add 2 random cheap weapons to your hand that could have different uses, 1 is good for pinging multiple enemies and the other is good to help take out larger enemies.

    The weapons:

     Mr. Smite, 1 mana for a 1/2 body. Some class 1 drops are 1/3 with a decent effect so I needed to make him slightly more powerful while still being balanced.

    He synergizes well with Cruel taskmaster (and other similar cards that can deal 1 damage) to kill 3 health 1 drops, you can get 2 weapons from him if you manage to attack a 1 attack minion. He also has great pirate synergy by being a pirate and giving you weapons.

    The weapons are both cheap and help you out in different ways, one can help clear lots of smaller minions and the other can help clear a bigger minion.

    My first entry into these competitions:

    Time Warp 5 mana mage spell, based on my idea of making Nozdormu playable it sets both players mana crystals to 1 or 10. The idea is to either accelerate the game or restart it but it is chosen randomly and effects both players the same way.

    If you have a lot of late game cards with this as mage you can take a gamble to move into the end game or wait even longer to play your cards or if you have a lot of early game still in hand you can gamble to reset the game and play them on curve or make them even less relevant by moving to the end game.

    2 epics, 2 rares and 1 common would be my guess with 1 epic possibly being a giant.

    posted a message on Summary of New Mechanics Introduced with GvG

    Foe Reaper 4000 - Cleaves to adjacent enemy minions. Bit sad we didn't get any more cleave minions.

    Shadow Boxer - Healing also deals 1 damage to a random enemy.

    Flame Leviathan - AoE damage when drawn.

    Siege Engine - Increases attack when your hero gains armour.

    Wait until you see all the cards especially the legendary until you say a class is dead. Whirling zap-o-matic is a great 2 drop and I think people underestimate the new ogre cards, the fact that they can attack past taunt and attack stealth should be valuable.
