For those want what they think of nerfs and ladder in a five minute summary (0:00-40:20):
First it starts with about the nerf as well the new ladder system (which can be read about on this site). They said that Spirit Claws was a nice idea, but got misused by aggro. Toast even jokes on how Shamans have managed to make cards which were meant for control play but there uses were changed for aggro use. (Examples Maelstrom Portal & Jade Lightning).
Next is Small-Time Buccaneer. They like the idea of the card have one Health less. Nox asks "How would you feel about a 1 mana 3/1 minion?", so it something which may or may not work, time will tell. But they pointed out there are more ways to get rid of that minions, so there could be more deck build potential. But they agreed that it will change will not see aggro disappear but it could slow them down
Then it's starts talking about new ladder. Toast says that there will be more Legendary players, but like the idea that if you get to rank 5, you can try out fun decks rather than just relying on focus get to legend as fast as possible. Nox agrees, say that rank 20 is mostly aggro decks, but he think that rank 16-14 is where the fun decks are, so if that's the new rank 15, he agrees that will be better. Chan say that rank 5 is a fun stage too, especially for streamers, they can relax and have fun with the fans. But he does worry about MMR. Nox mentions that MMR could be done in a way so that a rank 10 couldn't face a rank 20, even if they lose 100 match in a row, so that could stop farming the lower ranks. They say the ladder is easy to understand, but it doesn't feel like a accomplishment right now. But new ladder could change that.
Final comment on this matter are, Toast thinks it good that they change the cards, like they did withYogg-Saron, Hope's End, but points out that new problem could come about because of it. Nox jokes that Shaman will still be powerful. Chan agrees and believes more cards should have be changed to make a bigger affect. Nox also believes that Spirit Claws could still be useful in mid-range decks. Toast talks about that only three classes will be affect by this for very different reasons (Pirate Warrior, Rogue, Aggro Shaman). Chan feels that Rogue had to run Small-Time Buccaneer for defensive reason, unlike Warrior and Shaman.
He also mention that cards like Jade Lightning will keep players playing aggro Shaman and that Jade Druid could be a powerful threat to the game. He believes is a problem, but can't be change because it's new. Toast replies say that Jade Idol make other control decks not viable. He also say it's a deck that plays itself, but doesn't think it will ever be a Tier 1 deck. Nox thinks it will make a affect. He also thinks that Druid doesn't feel like a control deck when you compare it to other control decks, but that it's a good example of a control deck. However even though he understands why people want more of a control warrior meta, he says that not every wants to play to turn 35.
Chan mentions he like what the mechanic does when new players play the game, like it was with the C'Thun decks. You build up the deck and get more powerful minions, so it gives new player access to make big minions. But then adds that because these decks become Tier 1 decks (like aggro shamans which tempo out really fast, but gain powerful minions on the way). Nox adds that even with Shamans there skill is usually based on when they use hero power or placements on the board, but not seen when it comes to the Jade mechanic. He feels people are playing a mechanic rather than a class like Rogue, Shaman or Druid.
They also raise that a Jade Rogue deck could be possible. Toast mentions they have to use a lot of there spells like Shadowstep to make it valuable. He adds that Rogues also have no good healing, nor strong AoE, but just have single target spells. Nox jokes what can be better than Miracle Rogue? He does say that Rogue will have more options to use they used before in the past. Chan agrees. He then adds but are they the only changes or will there be more? Chan believes there may be more. Nox quickly replies there has to be more. He want Jade to be changed because he doesn't want two years of just Jade Shaman. He believes people will play Shaman with that deck style in mind unless it changes.
The next rotation Chan believes one of two things need to happen. Either the new cards need to phase out the Jade or they will have to change all the cards with that mechanic. Toast mentions that when the next expansion happens they will have a new mechanic, like Old Gods and Gadgetzan, so believes that will phase out the Jades. For example, C'Thun is available but very few use it now. Nox says that it's a fun card, which was powerful but not broken.
OK so that a summary up to 40:20. If anyone wants to continue the rest just reply what they say.
