I don't get it. I can't figure out what I am doing wrong with this deck.
What are you supposed to do when your hand is flooded with spells? In most games I have only had the option to place 2 or 3 minions by turn 6. I just can't fathom how an aggro deck works like this.
Then on the odd occasion I do get to flood the board (I just played this deck exclusively from rank 7 down to rank 15 then back up to rank 13, and I think I got a good flood maybe 3 times), either I don't draw a divine favour, or my opponent is also aggro and divine favour draws me nothing.
Look, I am not here to trash the deck, clearly it's good, ratings don't come from nowhere. But there are only 3 options I can conclude from this experience.
- The meta from rank 13 to rank 6 on NA just pure counters this deck.
- There is some secret way of playing this deck that completely eludes me.
- Someone haxored me and forces the worst possible card draw on me 90% of games.

This deck is ridiculously good. I've been away for a bit, and after coming back, was constantly getting smashed by all these crazy mech decks. I've just gained 5 ranks in the last hour playing this deck with only one loss so far, which was largely due to a bad draw on my behalf and a good draw by the opponent.
Gonna keep playing and see how far I get, but for now, this has got to be the best laid out deck I have ever played.
Thanks Nookain, thou art indeed awesome, most indeededly !!!!

You're right, this deck is fantastic, I won a few matches with it last night after my opponents fled the battle, no doubt terrified of this decks capabilities. I'm only a crappy part time player, so I guess I will only ever have decent win rates playing with the crappy decks designed other legend ranked players, or my own designs. Thanks for setting me straight, and good luck with your Legend Quest.

Got it 2nd try, thanks MrPLJ.
I changed a few cards out that I thought offered no advantage in this match, such as zombie chow, for some shield cards.
Managed to keep some board control, and get one of the twins out and trade him for Thadd, then buffed him with a defender of argus.
By then, with him busy trying to drop my buffed Thadd, the 12 damage from that card, plus the increasing army of minions, was able to drop him with with relative ease.
Got close at one point, I was on 8 health, but killing a zombie chow he had put out just kept me in the game - I was using hero power almost every turn, probably what saved me in the end.
Thanks again :-)

After many failed attempts with various decks, including a number of priest variations, this deck had just the right balance to get the job done.
Funnily enough, I couldn't seem to luck out with getting a gargoyle early enough to buff up, and he kept wiping out my cleric on turn one or two, in the end, I chose to beef up my lightwell, ending up with 10/15 or so eventually, and coupled with a few other minions, got him down.
A lot of other priest decks revolved around buffing a lightwell or two, but none of them seemed to have the right overall deck balance to pull it off without a ton of luck.
Thanks yet again MrPLJ

Once again, you have produced a nicely balanced deck when all others seem to have failed me.
Took me a couple of goes to get a well sorted hand and card draw, but in the end, the key to success was getting over "the hump" If you can last long enough to run him out of cards, he can only play one at a time, and is easily beaten. It turns out to be a marathon, not a burn race.
Thanks again MrPLJ

Excellent, worked a treat - Tried this out after trying a few different Mage decks, some of my own, some contributed, but just couldnt get them to work, it seemed to me they require an exact perfect 4 card starting draw, then near perfect draws thereafter to work properly !
I started out with a cracker of a card draw, having both ooze and lightwell, but then wasnt really getting the right cards according to the strat for this deck, but in the end I whittled the big lump down in the nick of time. Shows that this is a versatile deck capable of winning without absolute perfection, divine intervention or pure luck.
Thanks MrPLJ :-)
