I'd go with freeze, as a freeze player I rejoice when I see a priest, probably higher than 90% vs any kind of priest

ThePloyBoy posted a message on Control Priest - Hard CounterPosted in: General DiscussionLord Jaraxxus can win by himself with np, only way i can win is with some crazy 15 dmg combo i dont have at turn 17.
Other one is Murloc Paladin who is pretty good at healing himself and board control, andd that otk combo at turn 10 and 11 i cant deal with.
And my biggest counter is when i have a shity draw like double Auchenai or circles, double Lightbomb and Entomb early on and no Flash Heals late game when out of 5 cards i cant get any... also no Deathlord or Beltcher

BorzHS posted a message on Control Priest - Hard CounterPosted in: General DiscussionI've been beating Control Priests with my Reno Warrior pretty often. Fatigue is the only way. Justicar/Reno says hello.

notsoclutch posted a message on Control Priest - Hard CounterPosted in: General DiscussionI just wanted to comment on the druid matchup. A competent priest against druid is a 50/50. If priest gets on the board early, druid has few if any ways to win the matchup. Priest has no trouble staying above 14 and generally double combo makes the druids hand clunky enough for priest to destroy druid in the early game. This matchup used to be a bit more druid favored, but now that living roots is popular, priest's early drops like Northshire, and chow eat up most early plays by a druid and can actually out tempo them.

GiantDwarf0 posted a message on Control Priest - Hard CounterPosted in: General DiscussionHonestly, unless you're playing Tempo Mage, Secret Pally, Zoo, or Patron, you should have no trouble beating Control Priest, as its remaining match-ups are almost all very poor. It seems like a lot of people are out there piloting the deck and do not really know what they are doing.
As people have rightly noted, combo decks all hard counter it. Midrange druid is a horrible match-up, as is Renolock. As Control Warrior, you should win; but get ready for a 45 minute game.

l4chsnacken posted a message on Control Priest - Hard CounterPosted in: General DiscussionRenolock/Handlock usually have a pretty good time, the only realistic way for them to kill you is Auchenai + Flash Heal wizardry, if they already burned those you just gotta get Jaraxxus. If you don't die to fatigue you should have won at that point.

TuphTuph posted a message on Control Priest - Hard CounterPosted in: General DiscussionAim to fatigue them first. Also play around AoE and Entomb. Most midrange and aggro deck players make lots of misplays, but in the end, you can win without prob.

I wonder at which rank you are. I haven't seen a Shaman in ages.
