Yep, if it just shuffled the "dead the other hero" card immediately on questline completion it would be hard enough, as is, just impossible with how fast every other deck is currently.
Let's just be honest here there are probably going to be alot of nerfs coming in the next few weeks. Like I been speaking of Stealer of Souls in this thread but between Miracle Rogue, Quest Mage, Hunter card generation, ect Hearthstone feels like solitaire right now.
These quests are fun don't get wrong but I can't imagine the team is happy right now with all these OOPS All OTKs and no minion combat going on right now.
Funny, I've always liked OTK metas, Mecha-thun Priest and 4 dude OTK Lich King Paladin I had a blast with.
Though some OTKs I've never cared for, like the long time Druid was pretty much that.
But yes, there is a LOT of OTK in this expansion, I am not sure how effective they all are, but the Rogue and Demon Hunter ones I almost never encounter, even though they seem op, I assume getting the combo pieces is an issue for them, though I've never tried them personally.
As for Warlock, I see a lot of sub-optimized decks out there, if people think it's overrated they are probably just encountering the slew of homebrews running around.
There is a certain version of quest warlock that does fine against aggro, there's definitely an issue when the deck can heal itself to full health repeatedly. Having said that, I do find the deck fun, and am really just part of the problem as it's my most played deck, by far.
Other than that deck I only occasionally play quest priest, which is absolutely terrible.
Easy, just get got tier luck, power level, hit everything perfectly, triple into exactly what you want at the earliest possibility, or just misplay every turn and win with the boars.
Well since not much thought was done to balancing when creating the class it's hard to know where to start. A lot of tribes need a specific set of things to happen to win, the boars have sooo many options, there is no one specific card you absolutely need, many lines can be game winning. They have way too many good cards at all tiers. In other classes some cards would be more random, or have overkill, or whatever to balance things, but not the boars.
At the core it's just too easy to get blood gems, which obviously is their fuel.
It might be easier to just buff the other classes, since a lot of cards would have to be changed in the boars.
The game has always sucked when one tribe dominated, it easily out scales everything, you don't need time to figure that shit out. Sorry if it's not obvious to some of you yet. They might as well remove demons as a class, they were already struggling, now it doesn't take long for the boars to start beating them.
Pirates expansion was great because pirates seemed hard to pull off. You don't need anything on tier 6 to make the boars work. In fact I got first place with just a single tier 5 minion. The only issue is on phones you can run out of time. It will get nerfed.
There's a lot of op treasures. The mode is pretty much centered around if you have the op treasures perfect for your build or your opponent does. The matches are rarely close, usually pretty one sided.
The only reason people are complaining now is murlocs are dominant, the developers really need to be careful. When murlocs are in that hard to pull off state they are great, but when they are always there in the late game then it isn't working. And no, some of the times murlocs not existing isn't a solution.
I'd be in favor of giving one of the weaker tribes, like Pirates, a Mackerel like minion. Murlocs needs to be kept in check.
And for the record, I think poison is absolutely needed in the game. Or else certain things, like Annihilan Battlemaster would be too annoying to play against.
Man they need to adress Saurolisk. We now have 2 new dedicated heroes that can easily make nigh unbeatable tier 1/2 builds. It wasn't fun before, but it's now an issue due to the consistency you can get it.
True, got my first win with the thing, at 10k mmr, with that 0 mana, kill a friendly minion, discover a minion from a lower tier hero. Having said that, I do think with the loss of that murloc that regains shields it gives way for builds that are just a lump of stats to shine. But obviously being able to get double golden Saurolisks, Wrath Weavers and shieldy dudes early is pretttty good.
Though based on the hero text you would think you couldn't use the hero power on tier 1.
Yes, it's not uncommon for them to end up with most of their board midgame. But even in the most ideal scenario late game it leaves something to be desired. The best pirate card imo is that guy who gets bigger with golden minions, which can be used in any build.
That parrot though is pretty ridiculous with beasts.
And in case anyone is wondering the "ideal pirate scenario" is getting multiple Cap'n Hoggarr's which can lead to turns that only end because of the time limit, otherwise you can keep buying and buffing endlessly.

If I were to remove one card completely, it might be dynamic duo. You might as well start it at 1-1 in stats given how quickly it scales.

I had a duels game where a druid played a new cthun that didn't bother breaking into parts on turn 6 or 7. Dealing 30 damage.
Normally when "illogical" things happen I figure out how it happened. In this case I have no idea.
Is this a known bug?
And because I know someone will bring it up, no he didn't play a single piece of cthun previously.
And yes, uninstalling hearthstone was my immediate thought after this happened.

Currently in casual you can craft decks centered around certain treasures and just retire if you don't hit it.
I'd say it's a worse version of constructed as the treasures matter more than the deck.
The more I play the mode the more I actively hate it tbh.

As much as Mackerel made murlocs better, the removal of Mackerel removed one of murloc's counters... which in turn made murlocs better.
While that may sound confusing really they are better now because they are easier to pull off now than the pre-dragon patch pre-Mackerel era.
