Yeah I initially thought of this too but if I get a 60-pack bundle of MSG packs and I get a bunch of duplicates (which every card will be, obviously), my ROI is significantly lower than just getting packs from a new set. When spending my money, I need to have a better return, but perhaps if you have enough gold, this might be worthwhile.
Despite this, anyone with a complete MSG set that is close to the pity timer should do this with gold up to the pity timer because then you can get either 1600 more dust or get Raza or Patches back for "free."
You realize that everyone that has these cards gets full dust from them right? If you spent 1600/3200 to craft either Patches or Raza you get all of your dust back.
Standard is only good for about a month or two after each expansion. When the meta settles I usually finish out the month but then I go back to my C’Thun N’Zoth Quest Priest in Wild and I’m happy again.
It’s probably a byproduct of an interaction with cards in the new set or a change that was implemented with the patch. They didn’t acknowledge it because they didn’t recognize it as an isolated issue but it was fixed by some other change they made.
Just got the Quest recently and I’ve been thinking about a couple things that you might know more about. Do you have any experience playing the Treachery+Howlfiend+Defile combo, and if you do, have you considered playing it in this deck? I know it’s risky when you play other discards but Howlfiend can also be fairly strong combined with Clutchmother.
My other question: do you have any experience with Wild Disco? What Wild-only cards are worth a spot, in your opinion?
Priest combo best combo. Probably don’t need Lightbomb but depending on what kind of minion based decks we see it might be relevant. Reno is also an option.

Curious Glimmerroot doesn’t even work. I know it’s because they probably load the decks randomly after the start of the game so they’re technically empty at the start but damn that spaghetti code.
I find it interesting that they draw a comparison between card text that alters the cards own stats (like Tar Creeper) to card text that changes a card's own mana cost (like Second Rate Bruiser). They refer to mana cost as a "stat". Although I appreciate the consistency behind the idea that internal card text is always applied last, they should not have applied this concept to mana cost. Mana cost is not a stat in the sense that attack and health are.
I think that it should have been the reverse for mana cost: the internal card text is applied first, then outside auras. This would only really affect Naga Sea Witch and Aviana, not Fresh Eyed Scout, since the card cost would be set once by Scout, at the battle cry, and then could be changed by internal and external text.
I think card cost should be governed by: battlecry, internal text, external aura, NOT battlecry, external aura, internal text.
Inconsistent to other cards? Maybe, but worth it to keep Naga Sea Witch and Aviana balanced. Also, why couldn't other cards be "Battlecry / Internal / External" with their health and attack?
They don't just draw a comparison between them, they straight up state that both interactions should work the same. Its intuitive, and now the cards do what they say.
Correction, what you just said was the most foolish thing on this subject so far. If it comes out Coin Turn Four, you have 5 mana to play with. You aren't limited on your options of removal on turn 5. Sea Giant/Shadowflame, Soulpriest/Double Circle of Healing, Pyromancer/Equality, a spell power minion with Maelstrom Portal/Elemental Destruction, Preparation/Vanish into an Envenom Weapon/Blade Flurry followup (or Dagger Turn Two, Envenom Weapon Turn Three, and Blade Flurry when the Giants are summoned), Poison Seeds, and Brawl. The only class that has no effective clear for the Naga Sea Witch combo on Turn Five is Hunter. Their best chance at a board wipe (Dreadscale/Bestial Wrath/Toxic Arrow) is on turn 6.
It's apparent someone hasn't played a lot of Hearthstone with that comment that you typed.
You obviously haven't played a lot of Hearthstone because Envenom Weapon/Blade Flurry doesn't work (as others have mentioned) and Dreadscale/Bestial Wrath/Toxic Arrow doesn't work because you can't target Immune characters. You'd have to buff Dreadscale which is even more convoluted and bad.
As far as your other "board clears" go, if your opponent has a full board of Giants, your Sea Giant costs 3 and Shadowflame costs 4 so no clears for Warlock. Prep/Vanish puts the cards back in your opponent's hand so they can play them next turn so no clears for Rogue. Auchenai/Circle/Circle is a three card combo that you're unlikely to get by turn 5 so hardly a clear for Priest, and Spell Power into Maelstrom/ED not only costs 7 mana (don't tell me to stick the spell power because it won't happen) but its only 7-8 damage so each Giant has a 50% chance to survive and you have 1 mana next turn.
Poison Seeds changes them to 2/2s which I guess counts and Brawl leaves one up so the only classes with answers to 6 turn 4 Giants are Paladin and Druid. Priest and Warlock get them later. I don't think you would have made this post if you knew all of this so hopefully I cleared some stuff up for you.
Unfortunately, no confirmation on which patch but Mike Donais commented on a Reddit post saying that they can't do it in the balance patch because of the short time between now and then but that they will be removed in a patch after that.
Edit: another comment from Donais stating that the picks will return to the way they once were (i.e., they're not experimenting in the next patch)

Three of the last four heroes added were female. Not really too many males compared to females anymore.

Use Hadronox or Voidlord with smaller stuff like Tar Creeper and Lackey. Any deck that can cheat out 7+ mana minions is worth it.

Marin has plenty of synergy, but Carnivorous Cube does not, since that can’t destroy enemy minions.

MSG is in the Year of the Kraken (2016). It will rotate out in early 2018. Yes, it will have been less than two full years.
