You mean the Path of Arthas. It was not a mini-set, but more like the Demon Hunter initiate set, since DK has way to less cards than any other class

Path of Arthas is an outlier here. Due to the way that Death Knight was built, Path of Arthas was more of a separate installment so that each rune had enough cards of each rune, or mix and match as the players liked. The developers got a shitload of flak because of how overpowered Demon Hunter was in the initial launch, so the developers deliberately designed the Death Knight class so that there wouldn't be this peanut butter and chocolate aspect. Just think, for example, how much the community would be bitching if all of the cheap Death night spells could be put into one deck and have a Flamewalker Jr. melting down opponents.

So as expected, Mercenaries completely failed.  Good.  It was clearly damaging their development focus on the actual game.  Also, if you guys are truly focused on making Hearthstone the best digital card game in the world - get Battlegrounds out of its application and into its own engine so that can stop cannibalizing your UI and your development efforts as well.

This is one of the more bizarre posts I have seen on this forum. You specifically target multiple cards with a near-zero playrate, yet fail to mention Gnoll, or the DH quest line. The nerf to Guff you outline would be way too heavy-handed.
