posted a message on Captain Blackheart's Treasure (Tavern Brawl #23)

This was by far my favorite Tavern Brawl, and it's actually the most fun I had playing hearthstone in months. I wish it wasn't ending. :(

I can't remember the last time I actually just kept playing Hearthstone for fun, and not to clear out dailies/grind the ladder. But this brawl was such a breath of fresh air. It wasn't disgustingly RNG-heavy like some of the other Brawls that I really hated, and it didn't really have any notably broken classes to pick that just made it feel like an uphill battle to play against.

    I'm gonna miss this little guy. ;_;

Well I was stuck at lvl 19 before I formed this deck.  Unfortunately I only have one eagle horn but w/ all the secrets I hold it for much of the game.  That's nice.  I seem to be pounding my opponents to death -- so a fast paced hunter is what I'm trying going for.  At one point I was using the illuminator; and I believe that was slowing me down.

Honestly -- all I want to do is rank up!  I've been stuck at 15-18 since I started playing the game and just want to break through.

If you like a fast-paced playstyle, then a second kill command, a second animal companion and replacing the stonetusk boar with a second webspinner should be good changes for you. You aren't likely to win many jousts for that warhorse, so maybe it could be cut for the second animal companion, for starters.
Cards like sludge belcher are good, solid cards, but they don't necessarily fit in the kind of deck you're trying to make. Sludge belcher is good for slowing the game down, but you want to put on lots of pressure and always be on the aggressive. So maybe the sludge belcher could be cut for a second kill command.
Also, do you have knife juggler? He's a great two drop. If not no worries. Since you did all of naxx, you'll have haunted creepers, those guys are also pretty good in a deck like this (although knife juggler makes them crazy!) I would recommend rotating out the snipe x 2, and either trying haunted creeper or mad scientist.
That being said, ultimately it's your deck. If you're really enjoying a heavy-secrets playstyle, don't let me talk you out of that. (I do think mad scientist would be great in this kind of deck, but I appreciate why you don't want him pulling out the wrong secret for the situation).

"as for the OP.. you have a long way to go on deck building :/ sorry dude."

That's why I"m here!  Please suggest what I should be adding or taking out.  In which deck are the shredders found?  They're very difficult to play against and I still do not have the card.

Shredders come from the Goblins vs. Gnomes packs. If you buy some of those, you've got a really good chance of getting shredders, because they're just a common. :)
Just curious - what's your ultimate game plan with this deck? Do you want to burst your opponent down early, control the game and play strong minions later on, or are you straddling a balance between the two? Depending on what goal you're pursuing, different cards could be cut/added.
For example, Kel'Thuzad is a really fun card to have in late-game control decks, and sometimes he can work really well and you just win the game. But armored warhorse is more of an aggressive card, because you're hoping to get his charge effect on to do some damage. So they're a bit at odds with each other, and it might be worth figuring out which theme you want to embrace going forward.
You have a lot of one-ofs of pretty good cards. I'd recommend replacing the stonetusk boar with a second webspinner, for example. As a one-drop the webspinner's way more interesting, and the stonetusk boar isn't doing too much. King's elekk is also a card you could definitely use two of.
One thing to think of is "If a card is good enough to put in your deck, it's probably good enough to put two of them into your deck." This doesn't apply to niche spells or tech cards like a big game hunter, but a strong card like king's elekk or eaglehorn bow you could totally use two of. (Especially with all the secrets you use, Eaglehorn seems nice).
Anyway, hopefully that's helpful. I don't wanna tell you how to build your deck because it seems like you're happy doing your own thing, so hopefully this general advice can help you refine your deck and push it up a few ranks. :D Good luck!

Wrath is a strictly better darkbomb and is also common, i don't see you complaining about that.

Both cards are common. Recycle is a Rare, this is common. Name me another case like this.
Did anyone say Mortal Strike yet? Because mortal strike is rare and fireball is strictly better than it.
The case I am making is not that commons are better than rares, its that they have never made a card that is strictly better than another card at a lower rarity later. Mortal Strike is worse, but its not base set, like fireball. So the later card is worse, but rare, this is the first time we've seen a specific card be made better and lower the rarity at the same time.
Seems like an arbitrary distinction. Mortal Strike and Fireball were available at the same time, does it really matter if one's the 'base' set and the other's the 'expert' set? Either way, it's just splitting hairs - there's precedence in the game for something like this happening, as class cards have been strictly better than other class cards before.
The bottom line is they tried recycle and it didn't work, so it's kind of an irrelevant card anyway. Entomb looks like a card worth playing, that's pretty cool. Not making this card just so they don't offend the druids who aren't running recycle would be silly.

I was real disappointed, Spiders Brawl is the worst of all of them. After the delay yesterday I figured they were working out the bugs on a new form of brawl. Who wants to bet we'll never see blackheart's booty?

That private mod note, though - are you sure? ;)

Wow, it's finally over. That was completely horrible and I only won cause somebody misplayed horribly by using "gang up" on my trogzor twice, giving me two trogs.

I'm done with hearthstone for a while. That totally sucked.

Usually I enjoy the tavern brawls, but this is total trash. Just got a deck with three revenges and a priestess of elune in the first six cards.

Ok seriously I've never been this unlucky before than today. Literally so fucking salty right now. Opponent is Eboladin with 8hp remaining, I'm playing Ragnaros, he also has one Silver Hand Recruit chilling there. And guess what, this stupid Rag ofc hits the Silver Hand Recruit! My opponent just went on killing me by topdecking Truesilver and Consecration.

There are just days where you just shouldn't play Hearthstone. You just get fucked.

Yeah, nothing's worse than when you played really well against an obnoxious, faceroll deck and they end up winning because of RNG. Sometimes I feel like the game should have a built-in algorithm that's checking to see if you're playing against face hunter or something, so it can tilt the odds in your favor. :P

I really think it's a shame how tavern brawl's being ruined by all the netdecking nerds out there who run to sites like these the moment the brawl is out and copy whatever someone else told them to play.

Netdecking's bad enough in ranked, but at least there it makes sense, since you're competing to be the best. Netdecking in tavern brawl is so pathetic, it's like people can't let any aspect of the game just be fun.

4/3 is easy to kill... that's why succubus is not used.

Succubus isn't used because destroying a card for a 4/3 isn't good enough.

But this guy isn't destroying a card, he's just damaging your hero, which is fine.

I might try this out in shaman. Buffing this guy with flametongue makes him a 3/8, which is just fine. I've got a pretty funky shaman deck that leans on vitality totem to survive against all the face hunters out there, maybe swapping vitality totem out for this guy would make that a bit better, as he could kill a lot of the 1-health crap face hunters play.
