This literally happens around this point before every new content release.

Perhaps, so what is the long term solution?
Take a break for a month or so until new content is released. Or play wild.

People seem to forget that it is okay to get bored of a game, especially when it's a game you play for hundreds and hundreds of house. Unless HS is your job, there's no reason you can't do something else in the meantime.
     Sadly, perhaps you are right.

You literally posted this an hour after nerfs and a change to ranked was announced.

The changes they announced are pathetic...that is the point.  They want you to feel better about playing their game....not actually interested in making it better.

    So many things here.

First off, you say the game is stagnant, define that as a lack of variety in class and deck type, and then list 8 or 9 different types of decks you might encounter. That is a lot of variety compared to most previous times in the game. You also didn't mention the decks that are by far the most prevalent, which is to say Aggro Shaman, Midrange Shaman, Mid-jade Shaman, and Pirate Warrior.

Secondly, you post a complaint about a stagnant meta a) right after nerfs and changes to ranked are announced, which are designed to change the meta to some degree and b) towards the end of a standard cycle, with a new expansion expected in around 2 months or less, which will rotate put massive chunks of cards and definitely change the meta.

And finally, if you want variety of decks, but refuse to play a mode with massive variety of decks (wild) then really, I'm not sure what to tell you. It's there it's Hearthstone, branch out if what you want is a change. Otherwise maybe this isn't the game you want it to be

Okay, 8-9 does not constitute much variety - especially when it is the same 30 cards or same type of game play and perhaps you are on a different server because I rarely see a Shaman these days.  Yes, I did forget Pirates...my bad.
Second, nerfs are a short-term solution...not a long-term solution.  Also, getting more of the same type of cards will not adjust the meta.
Third, perhaps you are right.  I have not played much in wild, but I never thought that was the main thrust of the game.

The entire community has been complaining about the same thing for months, where have you been?

Obviously, not reading forums.  What is your solution?

posted a message on Hearthstone is stagnant

    Greetings,

I have been playing Hearthstone since the beginning.  I am not an especially good player, but I enjoy constructing decks and laddering - that is up until recently.  Right after this last patch was released, the game became remarkably stagnant.  What I mean by stagnant is the type of decks you see in standard format (sorry I don't play wild).  Any given play period, you will see Reno Mage, Reno Lock, Jade Druid, Jade Rogue, Control Warrior, and Dragon Priest.  You may see a random Shaman or god-forbid a Dragon Reno Priest <facepalm>.  Rarely will you see a Paladin or Hunter.

I know some will say, this is just your anecdotal experience and you would be right.  However, doesn't the game feel stagnant to you?  The meta hasn't changed.  Some think, perhaps when Reno is gone (all god's peopel say amen), the meta will change; however, I would beg to differ.  The game's problem imho is in design.  The flaw of the design lends itself to lack of variety in competitive game play.  The limited amount of classes and card genres lend itself to becoming quickly stagnant.  They tried to adjust this with adding the tri-class card, but what a failed attempt to balance the game!  Instead they op'ed some classes, while others still under perform.  Then, they though, perhaps the answer is more RNG.  While RNG can be mildly entertaining for the victor, it is terribly frustrating for the loser.

The main question is what is the solution and do they even care.  To the second question, in my opinion, no...no they don't care because we continue to buy their shit and let's face it, that is what they care about.  When revenue dries up, then something is done (I am a marketing director).  To the first question, what is the solution.  The cynical me says, everybody should just stop buying their shit.  However, in an effort to actual think of a solution (for shits and giggles because devos aren't listening and imho don't care) I propose first an expansion of classes - to include death knights, and monks.  Second, I propose introducing factions, horde and alliance.  Cards could be created faction specific which all classes of that faction could use, but could not be used by the other faction.  Common cards would still be able to be used by both.

I am sure I am missing something which the community will quickly point out; however, my main point is that something need to change in order to make hearthstone great again.

I fucking hate Reno Jackson. Stupidest damn card in the game. Let see, my deck sucks donkey balls, but I'm okay because I have fucking Reno by turn 6.  Or better yet the game takes 20 fucking minutes because the opponent is jerking off every round and then drops a Reno to reset the whole fucking game. That piece of shit card can't rotate out fast enough for me.

This is a known bug --- happens all the time if your ping is too high, Charge minions become un-selectable. It's been known forever, and I do not believe Blizzard intends to/ can fix it.

Well, I hope they will fix it.  I have always said they have some of the sloppiest code writers.

I use that card all the time (golden as well) and I've never seen that issue. Sometimes if my connection is really slow, it takes a minute for the game to register that I played the card (that goes for any action when that happens), and it appears hat I am unable to do anything until my connection catches up. Sounds like you are having a separate issue, if you are still able to make other actions. Are you playing on a phone?

No I am playing on a laptop with excellent high-speed internet connection and the computer is a gaming computer.

posted a message on Unselectable on the game board (charge bug)

    Greetings,

Twice I have played the Bluegill Warrior (Golden 2/1) and attempted to utilize the charge mechanic without success.  The card was unselectable on the board and remained that way until destroyed.  Is this a known bug?  I tried to search for the topic on this forum and on Blizzard support.  I found the topic on Blizzard support without a response.

    Thanks!

Goons seem strong. May need to go and build a buffadin deck now.

buffadin from my testing is very unreliable and is wreaked on the ladder.

While I applaud them for doing something new, the decks are unbalanced and the RP gets annoying REAL fast.

Agreed, I played a paladin against a priest, then a priest against a druid, then a priest against a paladin...from the deck construct I witnessed...paladin need miracle pull to win...priest so many removals it is credulous, druid simply op.

They've issued a problem with pack opening. Wait until it gets resolved and then open some more.

I didn't hear about this!! Link?
What happens if I already opened all my packs???
It seems tri-class cards were coded as/being interpreted as three separate cards, so each one has 3x the presence in the available card pool for card packs.  I don't know yet (no one does) what they're going to do about it.
Figures Blizzard used sloppy ass coding.  They do this shit all the time.  I don't know how they miss obvious errors.  Do they even try out the product before launch?
