posted a message on I hate "one card" decks

I mean... Rock paper scissors meta sucks, I agree on that, but "one card decks" is a very broad statement. Is Quest Warrior a one card deck? Is Baku *anything really* a one card deck? Malygos Druid? Combo decks (if that's what You meant) have always been good against control, but historically those matchups were (and imo still are) quite fun to play, because You need to adapt Your playstyle as a control player and put pressure to disrupt Your opponents combo.

To me You just sound like You're not doing that tbh.

posted a message on Developer Insights: Boomsday Arena Update with Kris Zierhut

No, You can't do that. These buckets are cards that are offered together, so You will never be offered the choice between sth from buckets 2 and 5 eg. This is just a glimpse into how arena works, and what to expect from a draft. It gives a lot of useful information, but not in the way You might think.

I kind of agree with the message, just not the argumenta behind it.

I think advice along the lines of "if You want to know more, I recommend checking out this and that, it covers the topic extensively" is good advice, but people replying "google it" to questions on formus trigger me af. Like, why are You even on a forum then dude?

Also, if You want to "learn Yourself" You are free to do so. Just don't ask anything on forums. If You ask then I guess You expect an answer right...?

posted a message on New Legendary Shaman Card Reveal - The Storm Bringer

Yeah but "allright" cards stopped being playable like 4 years ago, now a card needs to do sth ridiculous to be good, and an 8 mana 3/3 weapon out of which You usually get 2 spells that are "meh" isn't good enough.

No it won't. Excuse me for not bringing up the quote, but I'm on mobile and it's a huge hustle, but basically they said that when a card moves "backwards" in zones eg. Hand -> Deck/ Battlefield -> Hand or Deck, i looses buffs, but keps them when it goes forward in zones.

posted a message on Blizzard keeps printing unfun cards

Shudderwock is a great card, and it's very satisfying to use, but it creates a problem where disruption cards are the only counterplay, and without it, You are helpless, but with them the Shudderwock player can just loose on the spot if they loose their Shudderwock. Combo decks with no alternative win condition are bad design really.

Oldschool combo decks usually had a few ways to pull off their combo, even without key cards such as Emperor or Brann You could usually try to execute it. Maybe not as an OTK, but some 15 or 20 damage for sure. With Shudderwock vs. Control, if You loose Your Shudderwock You loose the game 90% of the time, if You have it You win 90% of the time.

Disruption is not a solution to Shudderwock. Blizzard simply shouldn't make cards that allow You to pull of a powerful OTK that require legendaries to work. Combo decks should be slowed down by disruption, not completely shut down by it.

Also, Shudderwocm deals pretty much infinite damage and heals to full, which makes it impossible to prep against it. The ONLY viable plan is to just win before You loose, because eventually You always will, and that's bullshit.

posted a message on Activision-Blizzard has gone too far with the Mega Bundle

Everybody saying that "$80 for 80 packs is a great deal" is comparing the prices of HS preorder to HS regular prices, instead of looking at what that kind of money can get You in other games. More so, without cards You essentially cannot play the game, it's not like they just throw out expensive cosmetics. The cost of all that is bullshit, but I've accepted the gold grind and since Gadgetzan I've stopped buying packs (and I used to buy the preorder of everything once all cards were revealed since BRM). That being said, with all the grinding I do, I want to be able to access all of the games features and cosmetics. If I could buy Jaraxxus alone for $10 I would consider it, but since I get all the cards I need for gold, then I would essentially have to pay $80 JUST FOR THE HERO PORTRAIT because the 80 packs are pretty much worthless to me. This is   bullshit here. Tying content to extremely expensive bundles of shit that You might not even want or need. If the only way to buy a $100,000 car was to buy $500,000 worth of McFlurrys would You consider that  good deal? I wouldn't.

    posted a message on 'Meh'-gnetic

The problem with Magnetic is that minion buff cards require very little stats to be good. Blessing of Kings is a card that is not that bad at all, and 4/4 for 4 mana would be terrible on a minions, so if Magnetic guys are balanced like buff spells, then they are garbage when You can't stick them to sth, and if they are balanced like minions, then they are busted when placed atop another mech. Agreed here.

The mechanic seems redundant and forced to me, the Omega thing is much more interesting, but we shall see. For now, this is the expansion I am least excited for, and I've been around since BRM.

posted a message on The direction of Hearthstones Monetization

In the light of recent events regarding the nerfs/not-nerfs and dust refunds, as well as the cost of HS that has been increasing ever since I started playing (around GvG/BRM) I wanted to start a discussion about our dire perspectives concerning HS.

Hearthstone used to be a game with a team concerned about the comunity and the state of their creation, until Blizzard noticed it can bring much more profit if they impose a strict monetization model on it. The fact that they would rather step down and revert a change they did, than let us have the 1600 dust is totally bullshit, and so is their stubbornness with Lynessa.

The refund doesn't even let You expand Your collection in any way, because if they claim that the card is not being nerfed, then there is really no reason for You to get rid of it, and if You do, then You just loose it and that's it. The real problem is that they are not being fair, but instead just looking for excuses not to give us anything. Hearthstone is extremely expensive as is, why make such decisions then?

The community is mad about the changes, and still they do the greediest thing possible, and revert a decision they deemed correcr for the health of the game for what? For the sake of not letting us refund a changed card? Seriously? It's not league of Legends where every champion is viable in a way, and the meta shifts constatly to keep the game fresh.

Using League as a comparison, there have been complaints similar to HS as to the heavy monetization model imposed by the new shareholders of Riot (pretty interesting stuff, I recommend reading on it) but the game is in a pretty good spot, because new content (i.e. champions) is released at a rate that allows You to always own all the champions with little grind (once You get to the point of owning all the existing champions). In HS that's impossible without tossing in some serious $$$, and BESIDES THAT they choose to be dicks about dust refund to carda that were obviously nerfed? Not cool.

    posted a message on Blizzard's Off-Meta Deck Spotlight - June 13, 2018

Kingsbane is probably better in Legend than anywhere else, because uo there less people care about ranking up and there is less aggro, and Kingsbane is (just like the Rogue Quest we all hate playing against) very polarizing, because it wrecks minion-baed control decks, and gets wrecked by aggro.

Throwback to the rock-paper-scissors meta of Gadgetzan anyone?

posted a message on Tess Greymane is Not Disenchantable for Full Value, Clearly a Mistake, Right? [UPDATE]

This is surprisingly similar to when Tencent bought Riot Games, and the price model for League of Legends got absurd over time (hextech crafting amirite?). Hearthstone used to be a game cared for by developers who loved it and were concerned with it, but as it gained popularity Blizzard realized they can milk it.

As a side note, I don't think this will ever get constructive enough for a discussion. Mods?

Lmao, you're such a beta male, it's almost as if you're a satire account.

Are You fucking serious? You fucked up, and the dude is right that there is nothing to discuss about this. What the fuck is Your problem then? XD

posted a message on 50Min Game because of Opponent Roping every turn

Blizzard could realy just introduce a "report" option for ropers, which would get their behavior over many games inspected, either automatically in some way, or maybe manually if that is a problem. The system should give a lot of "benefit of the doubt" to players to prevent just punishing people who think really hard, but ropers often play all their cards out fast, and then let the turn end with a rope, which is easily noticeable. This would not only punish people who rope, but also discourage people from roping on purpose.

As an added benefit, I'd feel really good knowing that an asshole roper got punished for his behavior. Not letting it bother You is one thing, the satisfaction of justice being brought is another .
