The design of the ladder is probably to blame. I've never understood the value in either hitting legend or playing a deck most other people seem to be playing, but I guess I have a different opinion about cardgames than most other people.
Not nerfing Warrior was a poor decision. But then again, that's nothing new. I'm sure the "data suggests otherwise". Really do wonder how they measure 'having a fun experience' in that data though.
Read his comment please. As he said; it's about player feel, not just the % people seem to care so much about. I don't see Tickatus commonly anymore and that makes me so happy. I just concede every Warlock game the moment Tickatus comes down and move on with my control decks. But that doesn't mean the card isn't a problem for a healthy control meta.
This is the flawed logic people really need to stop using. It has nothing to do with representation in the meta and all your percentages, but the fact that with Control Warrior, Shaman, Paladin and Priest you just have such a small chance to win the game against Warlocks. And it's just such a bad feeling when Tickatus comes down and there is basically nothing you can do about it.
You can't talk about how people don't understand the game when you argue Tickatus gets kept in check because of aggro. That's not a real counter for control decks; in a healthy meta you'd have aggro-control-combo but since Tickatus is both the best control and combo deck and counter, it only loses to aggro. The card solely makes people create more aggro and there you go; unhealthy and annoying meta.
If the card was fine, they'd print a neutral counter for control decks to run that basically removes Tickatus from play. It's not; it pushes the meta in a bad direction and prevents cool decks and cards from being playable.
Would love to see a fun control meta with variety. Instead you get a rock-paper-scissors game with Aggro vs. Control Warlock (which is both Control and Combo). It baffles me how people only look at win% or how they do not see this card is single-handedly ruining other control decks from simply existing.
Probably around 300 euros in 2014-2015, not really anything except when they do some crazy (cheap) deal. Always regretted spending the money afterwards too. Haven't invested anything after losing faith in the company with cards like Tickatus or the current meta confirming that belief. Don't feel like it's necessary with the current reward system either.
One more freaking Lunacy mage or Secret Paladin or Aggro match and I am quitting, yeezes what is this stupid meta? Nerfs are long overdue and they probably won't even touch Tickatus so the meta won't get much better in any case.
This is such a common but flawed reply which makes the problem persists longer than should have been healthy.
What does it matter if some aggro decks can beat Tickatus? The card itself is uninteractive and stifles the meta so hard. Why can't people play cool control decks with cards such as C'thun? Because of Tickatus. The card is just unhealthy for the game in so many ways. I don't get how some people can't see that.

I removed the Snack Runs, 1 Rod and 1 stand against Darkness. Added Murgurgl, Taelon and 2 elemental weapons. Seems to be working :)

Conviction and other cards didn't even get touched. What a failure of a patch after waiting for so many weeks.

Oh boy more Tickatus

Hard to experiment with control decks when Warlock is cheating and nothing is done about it.
