I agree she was overhyped but that's because people still had hope for un'goro reigning in Jade decks. Jade druid kind of eliminate her long game potential. I also think Discolock quest is overhyped, discarding 6 cards is much harder than you'd think and you'd need to draw to do that. draw means life taps and tempo loss which means by the time you get to the quest and spend 5 mana on 2 3/2's you might just die. Jaraxxus gives you a 6/6 every turn for the low cost of 2 mana while giving you heal to 15 and a nice weapon.

I'd argue that shadow visions is over hyped along with radiant elemental. Tutor effects are some of the strongest effects in magic, however hearthstone is a very different game and I think overpaying for a spell in many cases isn't as good as you'd hope. still I expect it to see play and players at the top level will shadow visions earlier than needed and have the card ready on time instead of needing to pay 5 mana to find an immediate death or dragonfire. Also I expect priests that run that card to only run maybe 3-4 other spells (2 each) and one shadow visions. For that card to be good you need to pull the card you want every time not shadow visions into shadow visions.

Radiant elemental is not the same as apprentice, the average priest spell is no where as good as the average mage spell. yes, turn 2 elemental PW: Shield is a great tempo and power play but radiant elemental will be used for its body more often than its discount if it does see play.

posted a message on Are the deathrattle minions too weak?

mirage caller doesnt make the quest easy. A good deathrattle minion would do a lot more for the quest at most mirage caller can add one to your quest counter. If priest had half the good earlygame deathrattle minions hunter had, they wouldn't be in the spot they're in.  Priest needs standard equivalents of some of the good old deathrattle minions. Sylv, belchers, and deathlords are all cards that would make the cut over every other standard deathrattle minion. I'd even argue the dark cultist is better than the talonpriest in the quest deck (talonpriest is a better card so you might run both). spiritsinger umbra makes deathrattle minions less bad but I'm not convinced its anywhere close to brann. Other than card draw mechanics, most of the deathrattle effects aren't as impactful as battlecry effects so even if they had the same mana cost Spiritsinger Umbra would be worse, let alone at 1 mana more.

posted a message on Any hope for Priests?

Priest should be taking its old spot back from hunter this expansion. sure It got a decent quest reward, however deathrattles are way worse now and they still don't have a finishing mechanic. That said, they do have the best AoE in the game again so maybe they have some hope.

ok but how do you plan on living past turn 5 against aggro and turn 10 against jade shaman. the reason Cabalist tomb is such a mediocre card is it essentially is a 5 mana spell that does nothing when played and just gives value. compared to nourish which can be used for tempo or after ramping when you already have board control it's far less controllable. Without the draw that freeze mage had there's far less of a chance of setting up an infinite damage combo before you're dead even with an almost guaranteed 2 iceblocks

decks kind of need a win condition especially if they're going win against control/jade. I think the aggro decks would still beat this despite tar creepers and the stoneshaper. If your answer to pirate rush is 3/5 taunts you're going to lose to weapons. If you want to try elementals do that, if you want to build an OTK mage quest deck that's good too. When you get greedy and try to do both you make both archetypes worse

The spell that summons a copy of the last elemental doesn't trigger battlecries or count as playing an elemental that turn. Primordial Ecco is pretty much just like playing a faceless manipulator it seems useless the way it sits now. If it put a 0 mana copy that cancels its own battlecry and is discarded at the end of the turn If not played it would at least let you use it to play a 1cost elemental.

posted a message on New Keyword - Adapt

Hi feel this is way too inconsistent to be q good mechanic. Most minions only adapt once so there's usually a 30% chance at getting the one you want. Look at the 5/4 adapt for 5 mana almost all of the outcomes wouldn't see play if that was a guaranteed outcome even the divine shield and + 3 health are underwhelming. I think blizzard mistook unreliable as a positive thing. Op kazakus discovering a game winning potion for the situation is way different from vanilla minion with non impressive rng bonus.

posted a message on Jade has shaped the aggressive, anti-control meta
    Quote from comebacker >>

The real problem is not that jade counters control, it's that the jade mechanic in itself is uncounterable, its pure stats, I think they should be 1/1 jades with buffs, same mechanic but silencable, let ppl tech against it. If u play a slower deck without face dmg, and ur opponent has a 3/3 jade on turn 3 it's gg.Even a chicken will outvalue u from there, 1 mana 11/11 u deal with it, then here's a special 1 mana 12/12 just for u, thx.

How do you get a turn 3 3/3 jade in Druid and have left over jade idols to make 1 mana 11/11 and 12/12. Druid have so many ramp turns where they don't develop board that you can easily take advantage of. If you're playing a hero power pass style of deck vs a jade Druid your going to lose badly. Jade shaman is agueably the best jade deck at the moment. You only need to run 5 jade cards to make it more Afro focused or you can run the full ~10 card package for a more control strategy. That's why I wish they had 2 of 3 matches with sideboards maybe bring 3/4 decks with sideboards, ban 1 and then first to win 2 or 3 best of three games. Being able to tech a Reno, dragon or shaman deck mid series makes for much more interesting lineup decisions than at the last HCT where all but frozen brought pirate warriors and despite what the casters said the lineups looked very similar across the board

Dust him. Craft sylv, Rag, and golden cards going into hall of fame. It's free dust and u can keep a better legend for wild if you don't already have them.

posted a message on Is Twilight Whelp OP? Nerf?

It's never been op. Dragon priest was always a thing just never T1-2 before. The card that saved them is the OPerative. I see people holding on to whelps more often than not especially if it's their  only dragon to activate wyrmrests and historians. 1 mana 2/3 doesn't compare to most pirates anyway even with buccaneers being nerfed so rogues can stop crying over dead threads

posted a message on Easier Access to Wild?

Wild is vastly less played especially as time goes on and its harder for new players to get into it. Sure the average set before WotOG only had around 10 key cards for any given class but the decks there are only going to get worse as time goes on. Secret paladin will always potentially be a thing and Reno will only get better. Eventually all decks past rank 10 will be the hall of fame of cancer decks made up of the most broken cards around. Standard at least has a way to self correct, Wild Doesn't. I think changing out evergreen standard cards to more balanced set would work to better both wild and standard. Giving cards back and forth between formats lets people bridge the gap more easily

posted a message on Which cards would you rotate to Wild's Hall of Fame?
    Quote from GhostTrickx1>>

Who said anything else was moving to the hall of fame? Listen kids. There is no point in having an evergreen set if we are just going to move every good card to wild.

Who ever said evergreen is good for the game? The reason shaman is so op is that they have the some of the worst base cards so blizzard had to print more and more op stuff until finally tunnel troggs and 4 mana 7/7s pushed them into tier 1 status. In another year shaman will loose out the second half of their op cards and go back to priest status. Speaking of priests their base set sucks as well and without dragons they might as well join the hall of fame and leave standard forever. Druids base set was and is still one of the best got all of its biggest cards nerfed out of the game last rotation.

A more healthy solution is to have a standard base set that rotates every year with a few caveats; don't add in cards that are just rotating out, don't add in super op cards, 3 try  to make it around 150-200 playable cards (about the size of classic+basic cards). No pack fillers but not every card needs to be meta defining.  I would much rather buy reprints then have to deal with the same classic set for years to come.
