We are not denying that this has been a combo in wild. But now we can do this combo with the cool rotating effect from Silas which is a definite upside in my book.
Here's a slight variation to that idea that I've been playing with Warlock. It's not a competitive deck by any measure, but I'm currently 2 wins, 2 losses with it, so the combo can go off pretty consistently in this version.
I think Kreen is a bit harder to replace. Every time I’ve played him he’s felt really strong and he has great synergy with the true aim crescent. If you take him out, I would recommend replacing him with an earthen ring farseer to help counter some of the aggro in the meta. If you remove him, I would also consider removing the true aim crescent and replacing it with potentially another Soul Split
Absolutely! Magtheridon is there for the early big swing potential, but he's not at all necessary to the list. I would just replace him with a second Soul Split. If you're cutting the Magtheridon, you may want to consider replacing the soul fragment package as well since a big draw of that package is being able to clear the 1/3's easily. However, I think that the meta is aggro oriented enough right now that the soul fragment package is still worth it.
Hello all! I wanted to share this deck with everyone. I've been playing it since the expansion dropped and while it is not as powerful as some other demon hunter lists, it is very fun to play and it is an alternative way to play the class that breaks the typical aggro/tempo demon hunter mold.
First of all congrats on hitting legend! In spite of the changes to the ranked ladder, it is still an accomplishment.
It is easier to hit legend on this ladder. This is due to the fact that the games with no bonus stars for win streaks was reduced. The fact that there are no win streak bonus is what makes the climb from 5 to legend the hardest part of the ladder and this system reduces it from a net 26 wins to a net 16 wins from 5 to legend.
With the new system I was able to hit a personal best and hit legend on day 1! So it is easier than it was in the past, but don’t let people bash your accomplishments on here.
No win streak bonuses from diamond 5 to legend. I didn't have a star bonus on my final push, but I imagine if you started with 11x bonus you'd still have the star bonus
If you're new, I would recommend just waiting a while on Wild. If you don't disenchant cards as they rotate, you will eventually build up a wild collection. (Yes, this does take a long time.) Apart from that, if you want to start playing now, there are two strategies depending on how much dust/money you're willing to spend:
-Cheap option: Pick a single wild deck that seems fun/good to you and craft the cards you need. This option will vary in price depending on the deck you pick.
-Medium option: This option has better long term viability for playing Wild but it also is harder. You can build a strong Wild collection by crafting individually strong cards in the Wild set that are good across many different decks. Some cards that come to mind are Loatheb, Thaurissan, etc. If you want to go down this route, it may take longer to get a single "good" deck, but you will eventually have a very strong Wild collection. For specific cards to craft, there are many videos talking about what cards are most important in Wild; I personally recommend Solem for this.
If you're looking for specifically strong decks, Quest Mage decks are very dominant right now. For a long term deck, I have always found that Renolock performs well for me even with the varying metas. This deck also utilizes a lot of strong neutral legendaries that will help to strengthen your collections for other decks.
I think the most important thing to remember is that it's only an MMR system while you have a star multiplier. With an MMR system, you should theoretically average out to exactly a 50% win rate, but you'll still be progressing due to the multiplier as well as winstreak bonuses. Once you lose your multiplier, you are faced against people who are at your rank, which then allows you to climb if you are better than others at the rank. I was able to hit legend on the first day with this new system so I am a bit biased, but I think it's largely an improvement over the old system. I also think that the addition of more leagues and ranks makes you feel like you are constantly progressing which should make the grind feel better for all players.

Got day one legend with token Druid. It’s performing really well right now, especially if you don’t find yourself running into too many mech paladins
