he changed the deck after to include auctioneer for extra digging. if you think late game is non-existant maybe you don't realise it's meant to be an otk deck with the liadrin + eydris combo? (with the benefit of an anti-aggro/control mid-game)
of course it's not going to be tier 1 or anything but he climbed a couple of thousand legend points with it so it's not terrible
I agree this devalues the feeling of day-1 experiments. I wonder if there is an alternative format they could use to avoid this, for example turn it into a small tournament with no practice with the new cards beforehand. That way they could only play each deck a couple of times so there isn't enough playtime to get a feel for how powerful each deck is. The format they use isn't really "theorycrafting", it's just playing the expansion early.
i made a lucentbark big druid which I thought was going to be terrible but fun, but actually hard counters bomb warrior (i have 100% win rate against them so far). they aren't aggressive enough early on to punish ramp, and then you have infinite taunts and tons and tons of healing in the late game
depends what type of aggro. if it's board-based like zoo then yes it's usually too slow. but if the primary aggro deck is a burn deck then this is very good
a spirit lash that can easily go off multiple times in a turn with other cheap spells, especially if one buffs or heals the pyro. basically a reno effect.
What? It was great advice, I was going to leave only 1 free slot but thanks to this article I left two and the both got filled with new quests, then I could just re-roll my remaining quest.
I love that they've done a post about Wild, but if they really looked or talked to a few of the more interesting Wild streamers they could find much more interesting decks than these. When Boomsday came out everyone and their mum was playing that Mech Hunter list, just because it has dropped off for a few weeks doesn't suddenly make it an interesting off-meta deck. The warrior list looks like normal DMH warrior but with a random yogg and a few sub-optimal cards like unidentified shield. I mean, I love yogg but just adding him to a meta deck doesn't make an interesting off-meta deck imo.
Personally for an "off meta-spotlight" I'd have decks like Big Rogue, Reno Hunter, maybe Jade Rogue, even if they had to look outside their usual '30 wins at legend' criteria for the sake of a more interesting selection.
Just play another rogue deck, I consistently beat big priest with tess rogue in wild thanks to 2x sap. It should also be possible with more competitive rogue decks that can also run sap.
Really happy with these nerfs and the fact they are coming now instead of in 2 months. I'm especially happy with leeching poison as I'm mainly a wild player and Kingsbane has been dominating there since it was released, and is really un-fun to play against with the type of decks I enjoy.
I have to admit I'm a little sad about Saronite though. I think it's probably for the best, but there was something nice about the card, to me it felt the perfect balance of being just good enough to play vanilla, but with the potential for interesting synergies with handbuffs. Shudderwock isn't played in wild and if it was it can still work with doppelgangster, so this change is only to help standard for the next 3.5 months, which is probably worth it for the sanity of those players.

Just hope Yogg is one of them.
Also I would be very surprised if the Dr Boom hero card isn't reverted to 7.

have a look at dane's youtube channel, there are lots of videos of him playing this deck. it's the best way to learn in my experience

echoing ooze was in egg druid, especially because you could use the 2/2 buff + taunt on it and it would apply to both

jade idol is almost useless without tones of draw (gadgetzan or UI)

Literally saw this card and thought Reno Hunter!

What did they say that was inaccurate?

errr, what if one player has a 12-0 run and the other has 12-2? wouldn't that be a different ratio?
