I've been waiting for a good competition to use this idea, I think it'll fit here.

While the flavor is certainly similar to the original Loatheb, having it increase the cost of certain minions is a dramatically different effect than spells, imo. This would be used to screw up Elemental "If you played a..." combos, and to slow down Pirates/Murlocs/Demons/Beast decks.

Does it meet the requirements for this week?

Personally, I like the effect of 5 Mana Edwin, but I prefer the art and name of 2 Mana Edwin. I really like the combination of Handbuff and Justicar mechanics in play.
Agree 100% with this. Good work Toxibrah.

Allows for Druid to control the board early or slow down aggro decks while setting up for late game. Buff it with Mark of the Wild, Mark of Nature, or Mark of Y'Shaarj and you have quite the helper. But, it could be nearly useless if you already have control of the board, or draw it late in the game.

I think Rogue is need of a new Combo card, and using hard removal as part of a Combo is something that I think could work. Here are a couple ideas that I had:

Knowing that Assassinate costs 5, I attempted to balance each of these cards because they only target a specific type of minion. Are either of these any good?

And we bump again. Currently unsure which card i am gonna submit. None of them have really caught anyones eyes.

    Elemental Summoner

Note that this card dosen't reduce the cost of the elementals, but sets everything to (5) until an Elemental has been played.

Nifty with Ragnaros, Al'akir, the New shaman Epic 7 drop and the New Shaman Legendary. It even makes Fire Elemental fit the curve after this card.

I consider making it an Elemental, since it's slightly clunky without it being one. Neither of the new shaman cards are ideal to use after this one on turn five. Since odds are you did not play an Elemental on turn 4 togther with this card.

    Unrelenting Elemental

Not to confuse anyone. This cards deathrattle text triggers depending on whenever it died, and not depending on if you played an elemental prior to the turn it was summoned.

Since the card is an Elemental itself, it is practically assured to return to your hand on the first full turn its out, but becomes vulnerable after  that. This is also rarely a strong tempo play, and is mostly used as a filler for excess mana, or to be sure to be able to trigger your Elemental mechanics every turn, at the price of a 2 mana 2/1.

What are your thoughts Balance, Flavor and Fun wise?

    Thank you in advance <3

Not sure about Elemental Summoner. In order for it to beneficial, you need to play it on the same turn right after a cheap elemental (or two) to activate the effects of strong elementals such as Ozruk or Kalimos, etc. the following turn. It's definitely possible to wait around to have those 3 cards in your hand to pull off the combo, but all it does in the end is save you 2-4 mana the following turn.
I do like Unrelenting Elemental though, as you're not 100% in control of when it's deathrattle will trigger.

Due to some potentially super strong Elementals coming out, I wanted to create some sort of elemental-based hard removal. I thought that Druid's 'Choose One' effect would be a strong option, as it could still have great value even if you're not playing against an elemental-themed deck. Destroying an elemental, or discovering one, are both really strong effects, so I attempted to balance the card with that in mind.

These are my two so far.

I'm a little confused about this one. If you choose to gain one Mana Crystal, does this minion die right away then because it has 0 health?

I have a feeling Druid isn't going to get much love during this week's competition, but here's my idea and rationale.

It appears that there will be several strong Elementals in the new expansion, so I wanted to create some sort of elemental-based hard removal. I thought that Druid's 'Choose One' effect would be a strong option, as it could still have great value (Discovering a potentially strong Elemental) even if you're not playing against an elemental-themed deck. Destroying an elemental, or discovering one, are both really strong effects, so I attempted to balance the card with that in mind. Also, I didn't want to make this a Legendary minion, so I wanted to make sure it's cost was high enough and it's stats were low enough to dissuade anyone from running 2 of these in their deck. Plus, with Mulch rotating out of standard, this could be somewhat of a replacement.

Any thoughts on the card? Is the effect too strong/weak? Are the stats properly balanced? Any input is greatly appreciated!

Very similar flavor to Hidden Cache. It could be pretty powerful if you have several Beasts in your hand when triggered. Conversely, it could be completely pointless if your opponent doesn't adapt a minion during the game.

I couldn't form my original idea the way I wanted (thanks CheeseEatingSurrenderMonkey for the input), so I went with my backup. It's essentially a Bolf Ramshield that you have more control over, due to it having stealth, and because it's effect only happens when you decide to attack a minion. I think it could be a big help against aggro decks.

Here is my idea for the week; third week in a row, hoping to get more active.

I wanted to give Rogue a card that incentivizes attacking medium- to high-attack minions. Originally I tried to do what became a sort of Stealthed Bolf Ramshield that took the damage Rogue would receive while attacking, but wanted something more offensive and less defensive. In case it's not clear, if your hero attacks let's say an 8-attack minion with this card on the board, your hero would take 8 damage while dealing your attack damage to that minion, and an additional 8 damage would be sent to a random enemy character. Could get lucky and destroy an enemy minion, or could send that 8 damage to the enemy's face and win the game.

    Thoughts?

Just like you can't Innervate past 10 Mana, you will NOT be able to go above 8 Mana.

Congrats Crucinel! Only a few votes behind ya :)

And thanks for the constructive criticism around my card (Quel-dorei Steed) to those who commented. I agree it would be annoying to play against, but my thinking that with Reno going away, Mage needs another great legendary, otherwise it isn't left with much IMO. Definitely agree with some of the comments, thanks again all!
