The problem with card games is that it's in their very nature to periodically get faster as the game evolves, else the game becomes stagnant and stale. Hearthstone is still in a very young stage of the game and has very primitive effects and mechanics when comparing to a game like Yugioh in its current state, which has been around for two decades. It's almost impossible to win a match with a 20 year old YGO deck vs a current one. I thoroughly enjoy the juvenile state of Hearthstone because it's simple but engaging, and classic cards can still be viable. But it is inevitably going to speed up and I'm probably going to dip out eventually like I did when Yugioh added Pendulum summoning.

I played Control Warrior consistently throughout Karazhan and Gadgetzan metas running 1x Eater of Secrets literally only because of Ice Block. But if you for one second believe these cards are viable enough to put in any deck solely to counter Ice Block, you're severely delusional. Tech Cards do not solve problems in the meta.

I don't understand how people say there are counters to Ice Block. Ice Block was already essentially the mage quest. It's another turn in the bank for 3 mana. Fuck this card. Very restrictive for design space and combo decks IMO.

I just played against Warrior quest player. I was playing a Silver Hand Paladin and had a board of 7 minions. I will win in two turns, he's used both brawls. He random 8 blasts my face. Next turn, same thing. So clearly the Warrior quest is the best because RNGesus hates me.

Art is badass. A lot of the artwork on the currently revealed Ungoro cards is badass come to think of it. Glad they went with a slightly less cartoonish aesthetic on this expansion so far.

I work in customer service and always greet people courteously and very frequently am met with shit for attitude. I have to keep up my good attitude though because I want to keep my job, even though I would gladly tell them to just shut the fuck up. When I come home to relax with some HS, I don't want some prick on the other end rubbing it in my face whenever he wins a game. I have the option to shut them up before they can say some dumb shit, so I do. That's not my main reason, just an analogy, but I don't think the same common courtesy applies to an online game, this is the only 1v1 online game I've played where I can think that it's such an in-your-face option. Let's just keep our stupid pie holes shut, play the game, and not say sarcastic shit like "Heh, my greetings" because you top decked Mortal Strike.

Divine Shield Paladin is one of my favorite decks, I really hope it becomes playable again in the next meta.

I personally would like to see it at 1 health as that would kill the pirate decks completely but I recognize that's unrealistic and Blizzard probably won't do it. Because of that, I think the next best thing is +1 attack instead of +2. Slows down the damage output just enough to give you a better chance of surviving till turn 7. Kinda surprised to see so many people wanting Rogue restriction. To me Pirate Rogue is almost as busted as Pirate Warrior.

Jesus fucking H. Christ, maybe we could have the satisfaction of actually delivering lethal every now and again if we weren't all programmed to instinctively concede.
