All of what follows is my own opinion:
So, I've been around Hearthstone since the beginning, and one thing that's never changed is that any time something costs money, the floodgates open, and a deluge of complaints descend upon every hearthstone forum in existence. I have never understood the juxtapositioning of "I don't want to spend money" with "I want to be competitive." These two philosophies simply do not go together.
This is also true in other forms of competition. If you play tennis, for example, hard work and practice will get you most of the way there, but players who spend on the best rackets, the best shoes, and the best coaching will have a significant advantage over those who do not. My personal belief is that what SOME of these perennial complainers really mean is "I don't want to spend money, but I DESERVE to be competitive." This way of thinking belongs in the trash can with other phrases of the entitled such as "I don't want to study, but deserve an A+" and "I don't want to work, but deserve to be wealthy."
You are NOT entitled to free gaming, and if that's what you desire, there are plenty of games where you can do just that (including some of the game modes of Hearthstone, by the way) not to mention that there are legitimate players who grind daily and DO NOT spend money, but instead sacrifice their time, in order to get what they need to stay competitive.
So, in conclusion, if you don't want to put in the time OR the money, then what are you even complaining about?
TL/DR: You can't be competitive without sacrifice, so if you aren't sacrificing anything, stop complaining about it being unfair.

I know the achievement point system is basically the same as WoW, but it just sucks seeing all these points accumulating and knowing you can't do shit with them.
Like, I don't really care that I played 50 minions with rush, or gave X amount of Silver Hand Recruits Divine Shield. Sure, winning with Yogg is a pretty cool one, and those atleast grant some XP, but these points? They're worthless, so I don't care about my achievements. Why should I?

Keep in mind, I just brainstormed this, math could be off, etc, but anyway.
Why not give us a flat amount of XP per match? Idk, 5% for a win, 2,5% for a loss? Because 40xp per match out of 3000, is fuck all.
That means 20 wins, to reach the next level, not counting losses or quests. Doesn't that seem appropriate?
"But then it won't be a challenge to reach the max level"
Yes it will. You still have to play matches, the ones who play the most just reach it quicker, as it should. You should reward your most dedicated players.
And let's say a game of Hearthstone takes about 10 minutes. To level up once a day, you'd have to play about 3,5 hours. And always win. Again, not counting losses or quests.
And that's a one level PER DAY. That's a lot, considering the reward track is supposed to be across the whole expansion. Cut that in half and you'd have to play 2 hours a day.
And keep in mind, again, each reward track spans over an entire expansion, more than 3 months.
This way, both casual and hardcore players will be able to earn the rewards from the reward track.
Thoughts?

Considering only about 0,5% of the playerbase reach legend, I don't think so.

It's not like card games are inherently RNG or anything. People have said this game is dead ever since launch. If you don't want to play, then don't.

It's so funny how people are mad about this, like how it's online.
Did some of forget that we are in a PANDEMIC?
Don't like it? Don't buy it. It's very simple.

I really like this! It's casual, and gives storytelling and insight into the characters. Good job Blizz :P

Yeah, I thought getting a golden minion for doing nothing was a LITTLE bonkers. Still, pretty fun hero.

Welcome to Wild kiddo.

Pretty inconsistent to be honest.
Cards like Dark Pact, Preparation, Undertaker and Knife Juggler are all unnerfed.
But some cards like Barnes, And Dr. Boom are still nerfed? Doesn't make sense.
